I am really surprised (in a good way) at the excellent quality of this advice: . Here's my 15 cents (5 per a point): (1) if you do come in the summer, hit the ocean around 5 pm or even 6 pm, just check the beach you aim for is open at this time. The water will be hotter, than the air, while the score of the tropical sun will be gone. If you go earlier, rent a water bike or jet ski, go in the open ocean fast for a breeze (2) Check Fairchild for early mornings and night event when it is open outside of normal hours. (3) A great advice about Cuban food on the video, just remember, Cuban food is generally not spicy ( Cuban dancing is: , it is more of a high quality home cooked meal taste. This fact often surprises people.

As someone who was born and raised in Miami, thank you for telling it like it is. I hate driving anywhere south of the Broward county line, it's just a hot mess of traffic, attitude and all the me first people. South Beach is a no go for me. I might indulge a friend that is visiting but ugh such a headache to go there and the food is overpriced and service underwhelming. If you do come, I recommend Jan- March, avoid this place like the plague otherwise. Funny you should say that, someone once said the exact same thing. They honestly thought all of Miami was South Beach. Hmm, now I understand why people were so impressed when I said I was from Miami

As a lifelong resident, agree with it all. Dont do the buses leave those for the locals trying to commute. Besides its terrible. And yes the service is terrible. Like terrible. But prob because these people work 25384 jobs to be able to live where they work. But still I know exactly what you mean, this is the city where the customer is not always right.

Don't skip out on _any_ of the Cultures including Caribbean Cultures & food here in Miami. Haitian, Jamaican, Bahamian. etc. it's actually Multi-Cultural _(the whole County)_ with people from all around the World. Not like what the Movies will make you think with this one _Theme_ like in the movie Bad Boys. It's nothing like that here.

Don't forget there's there's lot of scam and frauds, so always check the balance on your card after swiping. We got the number stolen at a Chinese restaurant in the area.
Be careful with dentists in the area also, a lot of them either aren't licensed or recommend work that's not needed. There'd scams and money pits everywhere

Visited south beach/Miami back in summer of 2017. Of course, this was prior to the Covicron Crisis. Already felt the anti-oriental charm during that visit, I can imagine things have only gotten worse for Asian folks there in this current social climate. Welphs, ill let you know how it goes next month before embarkation!

Downtown Miami is way more fun than South Beach. If you wanna go to a beach, just wait until you get on your cruise, and come visit Miami 3 to 4 days before or after your cruise. Youll thank me later because South beach its just overrated. And overpriced.

This is excellent. Miami is amazing. and it's not all Washington Ave. it's Books and Books. the Perez. the Wolfsonian. Charlotte's bakery. good Cuban food and culture. good Haitian culture. good fishing. Miami is the future of Florida.

Somebody inform me is it dangerous in miami at night? Could you afford it if you are underqualified and for a job you need Spanish? I want to move there. Love you for helping me.

1. Stay near the metro-line
2. Hobe Beach
3. Crandon Park
4. Rent a bike; Miami is flat and the metro underline makes it easy to go north-south with zero hassle.
