you guys looked like having so much fun for playing arcade for the first time! :)
so to explain it:
1. the coin pusher with cards. you need to invest in it. because you want to get cards. each card have value in tickets, but if you complete the whole set, it will give you huge amount of tickets (easily few thousands. but the catch is that there is one card that is the rarest. you need to know the card so you can hunt it. if it is in the machine, you got to play it and get it
2. the sound on air hokey was there as far as I remember playing it (at least like 20 years ago)
3. the clown one, the one you hit it with balls, you need to hit the upper part, middle and lastly, bottom. because the upper one give the most points.
4. monster jackpot extreme, what is monster jackpot? it is the one you shown at the start of the machine, it is the upper part that shown 1002 tickets. normal jackpot is the one on top of the bonus balls, 254 tickets. you need an extreme luck to get the monster jackpot though
5. the one with saw and baloon, you need to increase the air inside of the balloon to hit the saw and pop it. this machine usually hand out dolls if you pop the balloon, so no tickets you can win out of it. and from what I see, it was a very small baloon, you need easily 50 tries? or maybe more to make it large enough to reach the saw. another option is insta pop

Last comment, I heard about these arcade called arcade monsters and joysticks lounge they are apparently really nice arcades. More of the classic arcade stuff. Though round one is always a recommended arcade. Not sure when that will come to Florida though. We got one in Salinas and that's a small city in California that barely ever gets new stuff. So I imagine it won't be long til Florida gets one of these arcades. Also recommend the crane couple for arcade inspiration. I have taken their advice for crane games and ticket redemption games and have found that I win a lot more often.

Dave and busters is nice, but I think Florida is getting some round one amusements in the future. These arcades are great with the latest games in arcades, and ufo catchers (crane games) that have some great prizes. Not to mention bowling, darts, billiards, ping pong, and karaoke. The prize area to redeem tickets is also great. You can get some nice stuff even for just 300 tickets. I know that Dave and busters for 300 tickets you get come cheapo stuff. Game works is also nice.

Dave and busters is nice, but I think Florida is getting some round one amusements in the future. Wow those games were so confusing. but I guess you're right, that's probably their point so you just spend it all without thinking about it. :p

I don't like the arcades which use the cards because using the credits on the cards often cost more then the monetary value. So if it was usually $1 for a go on a game, it would be about $1. 50 with the credit value. So it's just more expensive then if you went to a traditional arcade

Tim, did you hear about the vintage arcade that opened in St. Pete? Apparently it has video games and pinball machines from the 80s and 90s and is $15 to play all you want. It's not far from where I work but I haven't been yet.

When ever I see those prize games I now think of bob's burgers where the kids try to win a mini car! (and those games are like playing modern slot machines you quickly lose track of how much money you are spending/losing)

ufo catchers have two grabbers and kind of look like a ufo abducting the toys. the ones with three pronged grabbers are claw games. :) UFO catchers are more prevalent in Japan. ;)
