NEW Universal Studios Jurassic World Tribute Store Opens, New Treats & Olympic Inspired Food Booths! The Tim Tracker Kathleen: Summer Olympics - Yes, The Olympics will be held this year, 2021, in Tokyo. Its still being called the 2020 Olympics even though its now having to be held in 2021. The reason why Tokyo is not going to stop these Olympics and get them done this year is all about money. Are you ready for this? Prior to the pandemic and having to wait a full year more to hold the Olympics, to build all the stadiums and venues for everything has cost Tokyo $12. 6 billion. You heard me correct, $12. 6 billion. Due to the year delay and all the upkeep and everything else associated because of this pandemic and the year long wait its now going to cost Tokyo around $26 billion to hold these Summer Olympics.
A lot of places now dont even bid for the Olympics anymore because its just too expensive. So many places go into major debt if theyre picked to hold the Olympic games. All these different stadiums and venues have to be built to specific requirements for every sport/event that is held. All these places have to be built and they have to be permanent builds. Also you have to build an area for the Olympians to live in while there. Occasionally a place is lucky enough that maybe they have a couple of places that can hold some of the events but a lot of these places have to be built from the ground up. Also you have to remember after the regular Olympics than the Paralympics are held there too. Once the Olympics and Paralympics are gone a lot, not all, of these new buildings basically sit vacant because theyre not needed and they go into ruin. Now the city is in debt and have these brand new venues that are sitting completely vacant and eventually down the line start going into disrepair. Look at the Olympics that were held in China. You should see the condition of the majority of the venues that had to be built for that Olympics. Actually you can go to most any city that held the Olympics and look at all these vacant venues that have fallen into disrepair.
We all love to cheer for our country and we all feel such pride when somebody from are country wins. Honestly, for the amount of money that it takes to even have one of these and just the pure wastefulness of it maybe its time to end the Olympics. If not end it then maybe they need to greatly reduce the different sports that are held.

I think the olympics is going to end bring a terrible idea. all of those corona strands from visitors from all around the world in the same place at the same time. then everyone returning home and even just a small chance of someone bringing a different strain of Corona back to their home country even just a single occurrence could have large scale consequences. Plus not requiring proof of vaccination in airports and such just feels a bit early is all though we do have to get back to some normalcy eventually.
Another thing I know that the Olympics mostly relies on volunteers and they were saying 1 in 3 unpaid volunteers that originally signed up say they refuse to work the events because the lack of safety measures and the amount of people they are allowing to come.
Lets just hope everyone stays safe and healthy: )

How long do these tribute stores stick around for? Is the Jurassic World tribute store still there, and should I expect it to still be there in summer 2022? My daughter and I were pretty excited about checking this one out and it seems like a lot of work went into it to just throw it away when the Velocicoaster is still the newest ride

It's strange how you cannot prove that you have been vaccinated. Here in England you get given a card when you get your first vaccine with your name, date and batch number on it. Then there is space so they can fill it in for your 2nd vaccine too. We are supposed to carry them with us as proof of vaccination.

Its still called Tokyo 2020 because the merchandise has been done and it would massively too expensive to change it. And yes its a Happening.
Also spring rolls are made out of rice paper and you soak them to make them bendable. So yes after a while it becomes dry so it hardness again.

just because you are vaccinated doesn't mean you won't get covid. my cousin got the vaccine and a month later she was bed ridden from covid, my mom dad neice (who is 4 yrs old) and brother all got covid and are NOT vaccinated and they had a sore throat and a little loss of taste and thats it.
reply

Uh, yeah, how about no. I refuse to get the vax and I will not be wearing a mask when we go in a couple of months. If people feel comfortable wearing one, then by all means wear one, but do not FORCE people to wear a dang mask. It's ridiculous.

The vaccine wont stop you getting covid, it should just lessen the affects of you do. Bizarre that they do not check anyone entering the park but can you imagine how long the line to get into the park would be if it was the case. Nightmare!

The Olympics are still happening. And theyre calling it Tokyo 2020 still because to change it would mean redoing everything for the event. Including the medals because they were made with 2020 on them

Those summer rolls are made from rice paper. Rice paper is dipped in water to make it soft so either it was made awhile ago or they did not use enough water, thats why it was hard
