Chef-s Table Food Delivery: - 100% Real Durian Chips - Order Here: Koh Surin - In March 2020, we spent about a week in the Southern Thailand province on Phang Nga - I absolutely loved it - from the food to the people to the natural scenery and beaches. We decided to go to Koh Surin (, a national park island, known to be one of the most pristine islands in Thailand. And since it wasn-t as busy with tourism as it typically is, we were able to get a booking at the National Park lodge on the island. In this video I-ll share this entire experience of getting to Koh Surin, and staying in the bungalows. Greenview Tour Speedboat - 1, 700 THB ($52. 44) per person, roundtrip - First you must get to Koh Surin island, and the fastest way to get there is by speed boat which takes about 1 hour 10 minutes. The boat left from Khura Buri pier, in Phang Nga province. The boat ride was surprisingly smooth and we arrived to the island, to the amazingly pure and clear waters of the islands. Buffet lunch - 750 THB ($23. 13) per person - There aren-t too many food options - or let me say, no food options other than the National Park headquarters canteen. But you can choose to order from the menu, or you can eat the buffet that lots of snorkeling trips eat on day trip to the island. Since the buffet was ready and we were really hungry, we just ate the buffet. It-s not the greatest Thai food you-ll eat, but it was ok. Bungalow Price - 2, 000 THB ($61. 69) per night - Bungalows are basic, but comfortable, with AC and self contained. I thought they were great. The best things for me about staying at the bungalow overnight is that Koh Surin can be busy during the day because most people take day trips to the island, but head back to mainly by 3 or 4 pm. So being there after hours, it was so quiet, so peaceful, and so relaxing. That was the best

i will never pay a meal or buffet at 750 THB in Thailand no way! . that s a scam. if you have know Oishi Ex[press buffet all you can eat for 600 bath with 7 diff cuisines. and 2000 Thb for a bugalow with plastic bed cover when you can stay in a Hilton for 30 $ extrras. that s crasy this island. just to be away from the mass tourist. that s done THailand will smille back when tourist would go away.

Watching your Vid always made my day especially this one. Thank you for sharing! Surin Island is my all-time-fav one, epic Sunset & nature, several little Islands around are so wonderful for diving as well. Been to Surin so many times & never get enough of it though. Really miss that place! -

That's a precious father-son moment when you're showing us that -firm- mattress & Micah hops on top. Lol. I'm going to start writing down the places in Thailand for when I get there. Much as I live beaches, I'm a devoted urban hiker & may get lost in Bangkok forever.

Such an amazing trip! I really love a clearity of turquoise water. Also, I would love to recommend to visit the Northern part of Thailand 'Araksa Tea Garden', Chiang Mai. I definitely thought that everyone's gonna love this place! Be safe to you all.

Woah, the price of that buffet! That must have hurt to pay that much for run-of-the-mill Thai food. That's every bit as expensive as it would be in the US. However I guess it would be like a buffet lunch at Yosemite Park or something like that.

Hi Mark! Would you like to do a chili eating show down with Max McFarlin? That would be awesome. Please contact him. BTW, how is your niece with the most beautiful eyes? Micah has grown up too. Good to see your family is doing well.

That food was not cheap and they know you have zero choices in places to eat there. For Mark to say not bad you know the food is not that good either. They could be less on the food prices.

Thanks for sharing! Envious of the warm weather as it's cold here in Melbourne. Hopefully see you along our travels (when we're able to) or if you find yourself in Melbourne: )

How far is Koh Surin from Koh Similan? I went to Koh Similan and it was one of the most amazing destinations I have ever been to. Will you visit Koh Similan sometime?
