The second time we flew over this canyon on the way back from another adventure we decided we had to check it out. We marked it on the GPS and returned with wet suits. We thought maybe we were one of the first to attempt the canyon but an old piton and some webbing at the massive pot hole told us other wise. Still it was an freezing adventure in a remote part of Utah

Iron wash - Its a fun one. Has a giant keeper pothole and the canyon looks like it is in full condition. You all def needed thicker wetsuits. A drysuit would have been more appropriate though. Get a kokatat drysuit and you will be near invincible in ice cold water.

Look into the Black Hole of White canyon near Lake Powell. Similar canyon but is a little more closed in and it sees a bit more traffic. I bet not much at this time of year, though.

Wake up at 3am and leave a warm bed with a pretty woman in it to go hike a dangerous slot canyon and break ice to swim most of it freezing your ass off. God! Its great to be male!

You know its cold when you put on your wetsuit for the hike INTO the canyon. And did you take a dslr and a drone in there? You guys are crazy.

How about Buckskin Gulch into Pariah Canyon and finishing at Lees Ferry. I did Pariah a few years ago but not Buckskin Gulch.

These guys go every time more and more extreme. One of these days one, or all of them will run out of luck and die

Halfway through I had to turn on my space heater and get a lap blanket. I should be able to finish the post to the end.
