China Vlog Day 5 // Climbing Xian Hua Mountain // 2017. 4. 25 Tuesday Allisonguonew: xianhua mountain, the one you climbed, is incredibly beautiful and green. I love my hometown partly because of its evergreen landscape. u left out the climb down the 80degree cliff, which I bet is challenging and making legs shaking. the birthday feast is so warm, when all the family and friends get together. it is their culture that guest receives warm welcome and big feast, showing their hospitality. accepting it is the best way of showing appreciation. I guess in the last minute your video in Japan was shown on TV? ,do they have your permission to show it on a commercial TV?

Glad to see the new video! And about the difference of hiking culture between US and China, the U. S. style hiking is also popular in China in recent years, these hikers do not choose these stairs, they choose to follow some path that is not designed to walk and climb. It's dangerous, because of the lacking of hiking skill, sometimes they get stuck or lost in the mountain in bad weather, lots of accidents happened these years. The path you were taken to was a tourist interests, so people do not think they are hiking, they just take a walk here.

I just want to thank you guys for this amazing series! I am seeing a China that I didn't know existed and enjoying the heck out of it. The culture is so interesting and different than I expected. I've never seen so much food, although I don't believe I could eat some of it! Your family seems dead set on making sure you see, do, and eat EVERYTHING while you are there. Their hospitality is lovely! I would love to explore that beautiful countryside. Thank you fellows so much for taking the time to put this together!

. out of breath? What spoiled by our trails in the states. Why do you think our inclines and hiking trails aren't that brutal on the legs? Is our concern for safety, or could it be we're not challenging our people to be MORE adventurous than E ticket attractions. Cheers and thanks for being explores. Your guides are OG for taking their, and yours pops looks gangster too. Your relationship with your brother and fam. Is cool. Wouldn't have tried the blood though.

OMG Robby this is my favorite blog of your trip so far. The green foliage and the beautiful Japanese maples were fabulous. I certainly identify with your pain going up all those steps as I am in the process of trying to do as much stepping exercise as I can to get ready for my hike up the Mist Trail in Yosemite in two weeks. Thank you so much for taking us along on that fabulous trip up through the mountains with all the beauty that surrounded you.

I know that Chinese feeling of eating banquets for every meal, it is like heaven and hell. Sometimes, when we visited new yet unseen relatives, it was if they wanted to see you suffer, by serving sea cucumber in pigs testicle stir fry or braised camel toenails, I asked my brother in law once if they ate this food often, he said - are you kidding, this crap is just for you, we normally get a bucket of KFC-

I can't decide what's more hilarious, Andrew getting an uppercut to the crown jewels (27: 48) or him in the elevator carrying that Barbie doll and teddy bear backpack (28: 00. I'm going to have to go with the elevator scene. The expression alone is worth it's weight in gold. It's a please don't film me carrying this stuff. :) Great stuff, guys. Love the videos as always!

I've enjoyed your stuff for a number of reasons but in the latest videos I've really appreciated how good you guys have gotten at filming and directing these shots. seriously it's so fun to watch this style, I feel like it's so personal and in touch with the surroundings.

Yup, you have put your finger on it. In the rest of the world, people are generally expected to be responsible for themselves. If you decide to climb a steep mountain staircase and you hurt yourself. you decided to climb it, so you are responsible for the consequences.

1990, year of the horse, baby! :D
Those green mountains with the mist is like a sea of mountains. They sing a beautiful old song. A peaceful song that brings peace to my soul. Ohhh the things I would give to experience that in person.
