The Beautiful Hidden Beaches of North Manitou Island travel: I've been to the bottom of that dune a couple of years ago I was in my late 30's. I'm not overly out of shape but certainly not in the best of shape.
It was an average sunny Michigan day with temps in the upper 70's and a nice breeze off the lake. I ran down with a couple of my younger nephews and niece kind of on a whim. NEVER AGAIN. I neglected to bring any water not thinking I'd need it.
It was one of the physically hardest things I've ever done. 1/2 way up, I really thought someone was going to have to save me. I nearly drank the 1/4 full bottle of water I found buried in the sand. It really was that exhausting.
Come to find out, you can just walk down the shore maybe 1/2 mile to a flat beach that has a parking lot near it called North Bar Lake.

I think this may be my favourite episode of yours.
The views, the music, the nature- All perfect.
You could easily see how much you guys were enjoying it and it really shone through in the video. I-m glad you got the chance to go back to the place that filled you three with memories all those years ago.

It's impossible to watch an AA video and not want to immediately run out into nature. As I'm catching up on AA videos I've sadly been behind on, I once again feel inspired and compelled to have an adventure of my own. Thank you, as always. for continuing to share your journeys with us all!

Love love love your vids guys.
One of my favorite things that you guys do is the explanation of your inner psychological feelings on the situation at hand, and the different takes of it between the three and sometimes four of you guys.
Can't say enough about you fellas.

That farm and the views of Lake Michigan on one side and Glen Lake on the other side is just really magical. I love Sleeping Bear Dunes. Definitely my favourite place in the North American interior east of the Mississippi. The Catskills and Smokies are also wonderful, of course.

It's not the -coast! - It's the lake shore, shoreline, or beach. I grew up in Grand Rapids. Sometimes West Michigan refers to itself as the -Third Coast- as a marketing tool, but no native calls the beaches along Lake Michigan as a -coast- in a casual way.

Am loving your videos. Connects me to nature through your beautiful filming and great commentary.
When are you coming to Australia?
Am curious if you have jobs in between filming?
Thanks for bringing joy into my living room.
