We flew United Economy booked through US Military in 2015. We missed our flight from FRA to Chicago and subsequently Chicago to Syracuse. We arrived at FRA 4-5h before our international flight with all our belonging and our 2 pets. Check In counters for pets only opened 45min before the flight and they then decided that our dogs kennel was not big enough, even though the bigger kennel would not fit on their own connecting flight. While my husband went to find a bigger kennel, the ground personnel yelled and shouted at me to move several 50lbs bags and the pets out of the way. I was visibly pregnant in a high risk pregnancy and broke down crying. By the time they had our pets sorted out the baggage check in for our flight had closed and we were told to simply go home and come back the next day. We had no home in Germany anymore as we were on a military move to the US. No other help was offered to us by United. The only ones who helped us was the local USO that booked us a hotel room and new flights for the next day. Ever since then I will go out of my way to not have to travel with United.

United Airlines are the worst airlines as they will screw up your assigned seatings despite your already have -assigned seatings- so always check your seating 24 hours prior to your departure. Their seats are so uncomfortable. They have been in negative reviews and publicity of horrible customer service. Those customers who got an upgrade is 1) loyal customer/frequent flyers and 2) United airlines cardholder. You don-t automatically have access to their lounge despite you have first class tickets as you also need to have UA card holders and racking tons of miles

Flew from LAX to NRT with United on their 787 WITH Polaris and ALSO flew back to the US from HND to ORD with polaris. It seems to me united offers Polaris flight to and from Japan. I had a good experience in Polaris, the FA genuinely seemed like they wanted to be there and the Polaris Lounge is one of the the best lounges I've been to.

US Airlines were a shock to me when I first encountered them 20 odd years ago.
Flew from Vienna to Tampa via Atlanta on a European Carrier, cattle class but manageable.
in Tampa then I hopped onto a delta domestic flight to New Orleans. it felt like transitioning from a BMW to a Lada

As a aircraft fueler for United, the ramp crew gives zero shit about your luggage, they just toss them everywhere because their to lazy to actually set the bag down and it-s sad to see, I watched a tug driver lose a bag from his baggage cart and he saw it and left it. It-s very sad

I've never had a good experience on a United flight. They don't care about you, but what's even more surprising is they don't ever seem to care about themselves either. None of the airlines in the US are that great, but United is almost as bad as Air Canada.

I think the mask rule is fair enough in the current climate. The being a dickhead about it at first sight however is not. That should be reserved for passengers who do not comply with the initial informative request of mask wearing between bites.

I recall flying their last first class international to/from San Francisco to London. It was wonderful. Including the SF lounge. We had a butler, the food was wonderful, spacious, loungewear, etcetera. Polaris is a pale shadow of their former first class.

I have over a million miles on United over the past 15 years, yeah they suck, but I will say that people are slobs on these airplanes, especially in Business/First. I am amazed the airlines can clean the planes as well as they do.

Delta felt unclean and not so well maintained. But UNITED was by far worst experience I had, especially with how rude their attendants were. To be honest I think RyanAir is better airline than united.
