Join me inside one of the worlds MOST exclusive First Class cabins. And what-s more, I have it all to myself today! With just one row of First Class onboard their Boeing 777, and with tickets costing North of $8, 000 this is a rare insight into how the 1% fly. As with all my trip reports, I-ll be experiencing everything from the ground service to onboard food such as Caviar and steak along with their famous Chicken Satay. We-ll get the bed made up, and as we have access to the entire cabin experience the variety of different seating options. Todays flight is unique as it-s what-s called a 5th Freedom flight. This means that we-re not flying to Singapore, but rather on their Frankfurt - New York route. This is especially useful at present, as entry into Singapore is quite the challenge. Let me know what you think down below, but this has go to be one of my favourite review flights i've taken to date. Follow my travels live here

The problem with the 777 first class is that the seat is so wide, there is nowhere to rest one of your arms and so I found it quite uncomfortable. I was on an early flight and ordered a Book the Cook healthy option, but it was disgusting; cold toast, tasteless cottage cheese and bland vegetables. Probably the worst meal I have ever had on a plane of any class. Fortunately I had breakfast in the lounge. P. s. Krug is much better than the DP on SIA.

I flew Singapore from Australia to the UK & back in economy, as I have a peanut allergy, so no satay for me, I was served 1st & the meal was very good, also once the stewardesses figured out what you were drinking they would ask you if you wanted another each time they passed, those little cups barely kept up with me, but the service was top shelf even in the cheep seats.

That seems like a lot of food in an 8 hour period, and your sleep must've been very short. Most people sleep 6-8 hours. I'd love to take a flight like this at least once in my lifetime but I know at my age now it will never happen. Throughly enjoyed watching you tho, and enjoyed every bite too.

I flew this same route on SQ26 on Jan 10th. Funny how the entire weather outlook at Frankfurt and NY was so different one day later. It was very sunny in Frankfurt as well as NY - no rain at FRA or snow in NY like it was for you! Loved watching this

Damn that's pretty skeezy of Lufthansa, no food in the lounge for non-Lufthansa ticket holders? Damn cheap considering the deals these airlines make with each other to use each others lounges.

You paid 8, 000 DOLLARS for a flight, did you expect something less? Yes, it's a long flight, but damn that-s alot of money to most people.

How is that the worst turbulence you ever had. When crossing the ocean at night we had some 200m drops. Overhead bins flew open stuff fell out. 't Was scary.

Isn't airlines supposed to fly within their hubs? Like for Singapore Airlines, isn't it supposed to be Singapore to somewhere or somewhere to Singapore?
