BRUTALLY HONEST: Flying KLM-s NEW Business Class to Amsterdam - Trek Trendy

Today I-m flying KLMs new Business Class, onboard their 787-10 from Toronto all the way over to Amsterdam, in The Netherlands. I-ll be offering a brutally honest review of the experience, so as usual you-ll now for sure if this is a good or bad product to fly. This trip report will cover the business class lounge at Toronto Pearson International airports, through to the onboard service, the bed, dining and there-s a one off in todays video. We-ll be taking a look at the not seen before, crew rest areas - the secretive upstairs of this 787-10 (maybe you didn-t realise there was such an area before. Of course being brutally honest, I won-t be holding back on some elements, such as their other plane types, the backbone of the fleet the Boeing 777. This features an outdated and uncompetitive Business Class which I-d avoid. There are also some factors I mention in the video to consider when flying this specific, brand new Business Class. Do let me know what you think down below. Would you, or have you flown fly KLM before in their international premium cabins?

-A never before insight-. There are tons of pictures and videos of the crew rest area online. As for KLM. I find AMS airport not all it is cracked up to be. Dated in many parts, the typical shopping mall that happens to have planes there, and long walks with many travelators out of service or constantly being worked on. Lounge is great to look at, but seating is not great. I want somewhere comfortable to sit, not some stylised design Mecca. As for the onboard service, I have only flown the older business class and found the seat way too hard, the positioning of things like headphone sockets and power/USB supplies completely impractical and the food service to be old fashioned (paper doily anyone, the food passable but nothing special and the drinks selection limiting. Crew are nice though.

I recently flew with KLM to Costa Rica in Business Class on the 787 -9. The flight was excellent and so were the crew. Unfortunately on the return leg the aircraft developed a serious problem. The flaps were stuck on the left wing and would not retract. We had to dump all our fuel and make an emergency landing in Panama City, it was terrifying! However, I cannot stress strongly enough that the entire crew were FANTASTIC, they remained so calm and professional, they also were honest and kept us well informed throughout. I wouldn-t want to go through it again but I am glad that I had such a professional group looking after me during the experience. I wouldnt hesitate to fly KLM again--. great airline!

Hopefully it will turn out to be an epic video, it's certainly been fun to film so far - so watch out for it in the coming weeks. Thanks for all your support, much love - Will

I'm new to flight review videos- is it commonplace for the flight staff to actively look for fliers who seem to be reviewers- and give them better treatment? Or is this just because business class was not very busy and so they could offer more individualized service?

Hi Will,
Just wanted to know, what website do you use to book these flights? Are the prices less or normal? I would like to know which website to use to save the most money.
Thanks a lot and your videos make me smile every time -!

Flew KLM from Amsterdam to Johannesburg once. Small seats and poor food. ( I could only afford the cheap seats) Most unfortunately, they had sauerkraut on the dinner menu, and the smell permeated the aircraft for hours. Never again!

I have just flown in this gorgeous business class from SF to Amsterdam. Your review is spot on! Thank you for your honesty and all you do to help us, regular folks. I have two gin houses and counting.

That little house is a typical house you see like for example in Amsterdam. The tiles in the safety video are also typicall Dutch. Also the white and blue is typical Dutch. Its called - delfst blauw-.

I think it takes a true lover of these birds to appreciate the tarmac and vast collection of planes that are there, like you do. I find that innocent appeal and passion to be refreshing in your uploads.

ALL airline food is microwaved and the beef tastes like the chicken tastes like the pork tastes like the lamb. You are better off with servings of fruit or BRING YOUR OWN FOOD, YOU NUMBSKULLS.
