How we afford to travel! - explained at McDonalds CL: Flying economy to Japan but using 25k miles doesn-t seem worth it when you can get a one way for around 500 dollars or so during off peak seasons.
Also 4: 52 you said it costs 100 per person. But you only had 10, 000 miles left.
To be honest, the amount of money you are spending in order to meet the minimum to get the rewards are only worth it if you use it for certain places. Sure you are just using your card for everyday expenses, but all these cards have a 1k minimum spending in order to get the rewards. I would say you-re spending a lot to get a small reward back if that-s your strategy.

Hi Kara and Nate.
I enjoy your videos very much.
It has been my life long dream to visit as many countries as possible. At this point my tally is only 44 but after corona I would do my best.
I'm very interested with detailed data about obtaining miles and points and signing to credit cards. You can not under detail it.
I always wanted to be smart with points and miles like other people but never managed to master it. I got stuck with credit cards that maybe after 200 years I would get a one way cross atlantic ticket on a rowing boat.

I-m 28 and have already filed bankruptcy from putting too much on credit and not being able to afford it once it gained interest and went OVER the credit limit. Now I only have a credit card with a low limit for emergencies. If something at home breaks and I need to hire a repairman, if a pet needs to go to the veterinarian, or other unexpected expenses. Americans definitely have an issue with credit.

Unfortunately miles are not worth nearly what they used to be, and the trends are only forecasted to get worse. In these examples, they are also traveling to a generally cheaper region (Southeast Asia) compared to places like Europe, Australia, etc. It's a good strategy, but I'd love to see a follow up now to see what value they are getting from their points.

Absolutely love this! And loved how you described it all! - Would love more videos like this and found it very beneficial! I also would recommend you guys signing up to become actual travel agents and get certified just for the perks even. It is worth signing up for the perks alone, even if you do not decide to become an actual agent.

Heads up to people that the minimum spends on the credit cards to get all the bonus miles is usually thousands and thousands of dollars for each as mentioned with the $3000 minimum spend on just one card. They are not -free miles- and you probably would save more by booking a round-the-world type ticket.

Been sitting here for hours. YES! HOURS! Watching your vlogs. Hubby gets home from work and says, -What are you still doing up! -
Of course I said, -Watching Nara and Kate-.
So it took me about 10 tries to say your names correctly! --
I think it would be great nicknames for each other! Lol

This is non sense. Credit card bonus is not free money. You have to spend way more money to earn sign up bonus. This just reminds me a joke. How can I become millionaire by investing stock market. It-s easy. Invest 10 million dollar
reply

Oh no, this ain't free when you got to pay all them credit. Cards every month and paying the interest rates added in only doubles the cost in the long run. I say No no to that credit card trap! (Least that's what I call it)
