Norwegian Premium Economy Review: DISAPPOINTING! Terje: Now I really enjoy your videos usually. And before I make my comment I should say that I might be a bit emotionally biased as I am Norwegian. But as many other have stated here, You really come across as a whiny, spoiled baby in this one. As said, this has never been promoted as business class. As a budget airline this is slightly upgraded Economy. So I think that you made a big mistake when even thinking or mentioning business class at all in this review. Its like talking about and comparing Luis Vuitton while walking around in H&M. Kinda not the same thing. Nor the prizes. :) But anyhoo! Keep up giving us flight reviews and if you ever come to Oslo, Norway. Hit me up for a cup of coffee and Ill give you a guided tour of our beautiful city! Cheers!

You think the boarding in Seattle was chaos? Try flying LEVEL out of Barcelona. JFC. no words exist for that level of pandemonium. No info provided, ever, by the company to it's passangers, absolutly zero zero zero on-gournd organization, like a total free for all. Their utter level of dysfunction took any trust I had in them away right away though our flight to Los Angeles was uneventful. Money talks. if the price is right I dont care how uncomfortable I am, I'll buy it and do my best to make myself as comfy as possible. Remember, FLY WITH ANTI-EMBOLISM STOCKINGS ON BOTH YOUR LEGS.

Cheap airlines don't pay for a gate, just a parking space. Imagine what that boarding experience would have been like if there had been inclement weather. As for your food service, this is an economy airline. The main purpose is to get from A to B as cheaply as possible. Low cost means the employees are paid the smallest salary possible. You paid for a cheap flight, and you received a cheap flight. I noticed the economy passengers were held back so the premium could get off first.
I am sure it was safe. Did you watch the pre take off video?

I flew with them once from Stockholm to Bangkok, the word service was non-existent, almost exactly the same as your experience when I flew premium economy to, I ended up bringing up food from my hotel that morning with me on the flight, luckily I bought quite a lot of food with me and I ended up sharing it with some of my fellow passengers, as they did not even bring breakfast, any correspondence went on answered they never responded to any complaint, so therefore I went back to Europe with a different airline

I had the same experience in Premium Economy. I always travel with an inflatable pillow in my travel bag and it was useful. We also brought some extra food because we had heard it was sparse. If you know this stuff and you do that it's not horrible. You are right that the staff disappears for hours. I suspect they don't have extra staff in the sleeper berths in the ceiling so they likely send most (but not all) the crew to the berths afgter dinner to not violate work hour limits.

I have flown a number of premium economy flights but they are not even close to business, Virgin is OK I guess as is BA, the best premium economy we flew was Eva air evergreen class to Bangkok which was really good But again its nothing like business which I have done with BA and China eastern and Emirates. I am shocked however that they charged you for drinks on this flight, surely PE should have free drinks at least.

I'm sorry, but this is elitist garbage. I know you probably benefit from even negative engagement, as the algorithm dictates, etc, but this, alongside your video of sneering at a child in business class (imagine! the shame of it) is just pointless in its attack of the experience most of us (perhaps 95% of us) have when traveling abroad (or domestically, if you're in a big country. Sorry you didn't get any pillows.
reply

In all fairness, they have fixed pillows on the seat, youre 65 so its understandable why youre not going to be comfortable as your heights not the norm. And most importantly, you bought a premium ECONOMY ticket, dont expect creme de la creme for an economy seat with a bit extra leg room. What you pay is what you get im afraid. I think Norwegian have done a good job considering the price you paid for the flight

I miss Norwegian. I enjoyed their Premium Economy, perhaps because I rarely can afford to get a Premium Economy fare, so even though not the best in the world, I was pretty pleased. Cabin Crew certainly don't fuss over you like they might in a Business class. I think Norse Atlantic will be flying ex Norwegian a/c and probably won't bother to reconfigure them, but they could upgrade the offerings.

Dude your being way to snobby and harsh for someone who flies economy regularly its amazing and I flew Norwegians regular economy flight from Las Angeles to Paris which was 10 hours and I thought that it was one of the better economy and experiences. You cant expect to get a full reclining bed and the same services you would get on a 5 thousand dollar first class seat as you would in premium economy
reply

Flew Business with them in 2016 JFK-LGW. I can never sleep on an aircraft, so I can't comment on the seat, apart from it felt firm, like a typical German car seat. The food in a box was there, and the weird breakfast as well. My abiding memory is, as first time on a 787, was how comfortable the cabin was, being pressurised to a lower altitude, and not feeling tired, as it was a red eye.
reply

Just going to say its not the crews fault you are 6ft 4inchs tall or that you seem to prefer Mc Donalds or kfc. The food seem reasonable and not sure why crew would come around offering drinks every half hour/ hour on a night flight. Im catching up with many of the reviews and I enjoy then but this one seems a tad harsh
reply

I have yet to see you enjoy a flying experience. Especially when another passenger is crazy enough to bring their child into business class. Even if that was 2 months after you posted a video with your two kids in first class. It's working though, I still click on your videos to see how much you complain.

I flew 787 Dreamliner Premium Economy from London Gatwick to JFK and totally enjoyed the journey. I would never fly Business Class of 1 St Class, couldn't afford.
I will never criticise. Flight was smooth, food fine, in flight entertainment a OK
Totally enjoyed my 8+hrs and the money I spent

Looking at some of the queues and distances to walk, almost makes me glad my S-I-L told me about special needs, at first I was embarrassed to be wheeled past all the other passengers, but after two or three flights I was OK with it. Much better than having to stop and rest every 20 or 30 metres.

I flown Norwegian premium economy EGKK to KJFK. I was very, very impressed. We was very well looked after by all the staff both on the flight and in the airport before hand. Maybe this was just a one off, perhaps you could give them another go. If their 787s are still flying out of KK.

I flew regular economy on Norwegian form paris to LAX, and my tv screen that was on the back of the chair wasn't working, and just kept rebooting, flashing this bright white screen over and over and over again. it was impossible to get any sleep whatsoever. sucked ass.

Sad just watching this video, the box of food was almost at pitiful as a box of non food DELTA attempted to pass off to us this year. AUS to DTW. Hope you got some hot coffee and good food in the airport. Bring airplane pillow, Advil and biofreeze.
reply

Sorry to hear you didnt like your experience. Ive flown Norwegian several times and loved it. Sad theyve discontinued the trans Atlantic service. I will agree that the crew isnt the friendliest. Still a great flight considering the value.
reply

I don't like eating on airplanes, so I don't. Fortunately, apparently contrary to most passengers, I'm not going to starve to death by missing a meal or two. Quality of a good black cup of coffee or tea is important, though.
