EUROPE'S SHORTEST BOEING 787 FLIGHT! Business Class from Edinburgh to Dublin! egpx: Did this flight last year just for the experience. Sat in steerage though, I wasnt that desperate to try the business class seat! Id flown Hainan before in China but it was my first flight on any 787. From Dublin I took the Enterprise train to Belfast then Flybe from Belfast City back to Edinburgh. Not a bad day out.

I did this flight back in April in economy and thought it was excellent. They also issue you with breakfast and drinks upon boarding, but for such a short flight I thought the food offering was excellent and the Dreamliner was a much nicer way to travel to Dublin than with Ryanair or on a Stobart Air ATR.

I don't know if they pulled it or operate it just for the Summer. Cathay Pacific also operate Hong Kong to Dublin with an A350 but only in the Summer. The CX flights have been very busy, so presumably (Coronavirus exempt) they have confirmed they will be back this Summer. Maybe the same with Hainan.

I would be interested to know when you took this flight? I did it last weekend but the other way round going Dublin to Edinburgh, so if you did it on the Saturday ) you will have been on the same plane I guess. I only found out about it recently and took the opportunity since ticket prices are so cheap.

Been binge watching all your videos and as we speak I am watching more I just love your videos and relives their fab. Wish I could ride first class on a plane myself its a dream but the cost is insane! Question if I book a flight and get priority boarding can I then use the priority lounge?

Great video! Love the reviews; maybe try speak further from mic as then youll hear less wet speech which can be painfully loud for headphone users. however I understand saliva is a natural human thing to have!
Non the less great video; keep it up.

Jeeze Noel, you packed a lot of great information into such a short flight. Good info for people thinking of booking Business Class in the future.
But sadly not from Edinburgh, Hainan are pulling the plug from Scotland next month. sad to say: (

Hey Noel i was wondering. They served you breakfast on ground, so during taxiing or take off you had those trays in front of you with opened tables? // Keep up the great videos for us! / Regards from Cyprus!

Next time you are travelling through Edinburgh airport use your priority pass and go into the No 1 Lounge. This lounge has been upgraded recently and is a lot nicer than the Asipre Lounge.
Great video: D

Another oddity about this flight is its possible the only UK-Ireland flight where you get treated as an international passenger on landing at Dublin I imagine and have to go through passport control

I hate to do this. But it is Hai (as in hi) Nan airline. Never mind the tones though. Lol.
P. s. Curve is good. Im glad to see that they are sponsoring you tubers now.

Great Report! But this time a fast ending! No personal speaking outside the building! Looking forward to your upcoming Brazil trip with Lufthansa and more! That will be a big one!

Fun fact: Hainan airlines' subsidiary budget airline Capital Airlines has the same business class seat layout as hainan in their a330-200/a330-300s as well, including the 1-2-1

Flights with the 787 of that length in Canada is normal regularly AC flies both variants that they operate (-8, -9) from YYZ-YOW and YYZ-YUL those flights are about 35-45min long
reply

Looks like they use the same Business class seat design as LAN/LATAM, nice product but feels a little outdated these days and lacking in privacy for solo travellers
reply

Aha the funny thing is I was flying the same route on Ryanair that day and actually watched your plane depart from the ramp as I boarded the 737-8AS
reply

Take this twice a week, really is better than going ryanair. It's also ridiculous to have a Dreamliner doing a 45 minute flight but I dig it lol.

I love these quirky flights. I'm always on the lookout for EU routes operated by non-EU carriers. Who says the good old days of travel are over?
