The 9 HOUR Domestic Flight! Hawaiian A330 First Class

The 9 HOUR Domestic Flight! Hawaiian A330 First Class Tee: Hawaiian Airlines cut corners on their systems delaying thousands, in some cases for over 48 hours. Their employees were rude, dishonest, and incompetent, and did not make timely updates and provide vouchers except for a joke $15 food voucher you had to wait an hour in line for. The gate agents promised at least $500 in compensation per day per person which Hawaiian Airlines has not delivered. 2 months after this incident, I have not been compensated for thousands in food, hotel, and taxi costs after having to FAX a letter and receipts to them. They have had several similar incidents like this in 2023 from Hawaii to CA to NY to Florida. Avoid this airline! Time for a class action lawsuit!

I travelled to Hawaii only once. back in 1972 when I was only ten years old. My parents took my sister and I to Hawaii on holiday. We flew Pan Am flight 1 from LAX to HNL on 23rd March 1972. That flight was my first ever on a Boeing 747 or for that matter any widebody aircraft. We were in coach and sat in a centre section of four seats. There was a movie and there was a complimentary meal, only choice was chicken teriyaki. Following day we flew a Hawaiian DC-9 to Maui and we stayed at a place an uncle of mine owned. I remember it rained much of the time we were there.

I feel bad to knock hawaiian airlines. I just flew them first class or business class from honolulu to seoul. It was so average. We also premium comfort sfo to honolulu and back it was not great. The sandwiches they give you suck. The selling of blankets and headphones is crappy. The food was not as great as some of the other bloggers have said. There ground support in honolulu and there terminal 1 in honolulu was not great. They need to change and rethink before it's too late. Just playing hawaiian music on the plane doesn't mean the aloha spirit is there!

Off topic, forgive me, but given the sad news of the accident in Nepal I wondered if there are any airlines or aircraft types that even a fearless adventurer like yourself would be reluctant to travel with due to a negative personal opinion about their safety? Perhaps a topic to cover at a different time, but it would be really interesting to hear your views.

I'm in awe. So glad to have watched this! I get to see your view thanks for sharing! One thing that I learned and wanted to share with you is to look for a duffle bag that best fits your luggage and has all the wonderful features a bag can have especially in plane travel use. I'm using Nomad Lane's Bento Bag and it's a good choice.

Noel - LOVE your videos BUT. saying that Hawaii is a domestic flight is OK but that you never leave the United States is not true since you have to fly over international waters to get there. Same way with Alaska, you are either leaving the United States over international waters, or over Canada to get there.

Shame you didn't include your normal full seat review to include how it is in flat. mode. I know it was a say flight hut you usually do a better all round shoot.
Also, since moving to the US your videos seem to be getting shorter and where did all the ticket prices go and price per mile etc?

Looking forward to this video! Hawaiian is one of my favorite airlines! I remember the golden days back in the 80's, after moving from Dallas to Kihei, I would always keep an extra voucher booklet in my glove box!
Great airline for the most part!
Enjoy your flight, Noel, and Aloha!

I just did ORD-HNL last Tuesday at 8: 48 and HNL-DTW just now (7: 55.
AUS-HNL isnt as farBOS-HNL is the longest domestic passenger flight (in the 50 states.
Ive done LAS-HNL on HAs A330 in F class. Seats are comfortable but a little funky to get out if you are in the window seat.

BOS-HNL is the longest USA domestic flight that I know of also on Hawaiian. I don't know how long THAT would have taken with the type of headwinds you experienced on your flight which should have been about an hour shorter had it not been for the headwinds.

I took the 11 hour flight from Boston to HNL on December 5, 2022, and it was pretty amazing. Coincidentally, I'm in Austin while watching this video of you flying from Austin to Hawaii, which is where I used to live until about 3 weeks ago. :-)

I did jfk to Honolulu in economy with Hawaiian. Never again. 10 hour flight with no standard inclusions. I was 12 at the time and my parents wouldnt pay for any of the entertainment. Felt like I was on that plane for days.

Your move to Texas shows. You look very happy. Waiting for your next video. It would have been nice to take Rach with you. The hotel even at the airport looked refreshing with the pool and ocean.

Did you have to climb over the person in the seat next to you to get to the aisle or is it an easy access? Wondering if I should get an aisle or window seat. (I hate having to climb over someone)
reply

I've flown HNL-JFK and HNL-LAS a lot, all economy. Will be flying Hawaiian HNL-BOS in a few months. I may try out the extra comfort seats for the longest domestic flight. 5095 miles.

Thank you for including the meals in your video. I'll be flying the BOS-HNL leg in 2 weeks so it was helpful to see what I'll be served (the AUS and BOS/JFK legs have the same menu.

04: 00 That's really an unsusual amount of background noise compared to other videos, I wonder wether it was actually loud or if it had something to do with the recording
reply

Hawaii the gateway to the US from Australia cheap Jetstar tickets from Melbourne or Sydney then use points to get to New York because its treated as a domestic US flight

Been to Hawai'i 3 times, never been able to fly first class (always comfort+ or straight economy, but this shows what I've been missing out on! Thanks for sharing

Did you stay and fly on their 717s? I'm not sure if they are flying those anymore but I flew one from HNL to KOA a few years back when I visited 3 of the islands
