Sorry to hear about the bad experience during your flight to New Calidonia. Hope you got your suitcase when you got back home. Noted your high recommendation of United Airlines. I and my wife used to fly Unted from Singapore to Los Angeles before the pandemic season. We were not impressed about their service compared to SIA. Maybe now they have improved it for various reasons. The model of the aircrafts and the lay. out also paly an important role, I guess. (787 Dream liner is pretty classy aircraft) May the United Airlines spur other airlines to come out with better products! Looking forward to your. next video, Noel. All the best.

I really really admire you. I watch your videos everyday hoping to get over my fear of flight. It seems like nothing can frighten you, even the smallest, oldest and filthiest jet you've been on. I can't help it but having negative thoughts instantly when I book a ticket, panik attacks during a flight etc etc. I love the way you savor every moment of your trip, beers, meals, naps, fine wine etc etc. Hope you make many more videos and I wish one day to enjoy my flights like you do. I have definitely found recently the US carriers have greatly increased their hard product quality to be some of the best in the world when it comes to international business class.
I dont know if the soft product always hold up to the standards of Asian, Middle Eastern, or even most European carriers, and there is no first class, but for a high-quality, consistent business class and a good nights sleep with proper high quality bed/seat, United, Delta, and (soon) American are the way to go b

Good Video. Been flying across the Pacific for over 25 years. Havent used an American carrier for many years. Maybe I will give it a go. I agree with you about Singapore Airlines. Love the service and food, but dont care for the A350 biz seat (too complicated and cant seem to get it in a comfortable lounging position. I feel that the best biz class over the Pacific is EVA followed closely by ANA.

Surely buying new clothes would ha been a much cheaper option than returning to the US and adding two trans pacific flights to do the Japanese legs missed on this trip. Agree with the comments about SG business class seats try to be too clever but dont really work, the food on SG isnt as good as others based on my recent LHR-SiN-BKK return trip.

Flew Polaris on a 777 IAD-BRU back in early 2019. Flown Business 3x (4x if you count a misclassified row DFW-MIA) with the other two being a VS 350 and a VS 789 and. yep, I'd take the Polaris seat over the other two. So this trip teport rings true for me, though I haven't made it up front on DL or AA current products.

No way would I be cutting short any trip due to lost luggage unless it contained something which was an extreme necessity and not capable of being replaced at the destination. I am size 4XL with size 13 feet and I can even find clothes to fit in Singapore. Strange decision by Noel.

United must have really improved in the last fifteen years. My very worst flight ever was on United from Heathrow to the States. Of course, I was in economy class; one flight attendant was evidently in a relationship with another attendant and very, shall we say, high strung.

Noel, thanks for another great video. Can I ask when you received your bags back from Australia and if you received compensation? As you had to cut your work trip short due to this issue where you able to claim of travel insurance?

Hi noelphilips! I'm bound to fly from Guatemala all the way to London with a short layover in Houston. I'm using United but my question is more regarding clothing. What do you recommend or would say are your clothes of preference when flying long flights?

Very nice review, so Im subscribing. Must say, you may be one of the first Ive heard say they would take United over Singapore. Going to Japan next summer. Being a United 1K I will fly United at least one way. But sticking with Star Alliance, I must try ANA one way

I guess I dont understand why he didnt call Sydney airport, airline whatever and tell them I have an AirTag. This is exactly where my bag is sitting right now will somebody please collect it and stick it on the next flight to Singapore it makes no sense.

Still dont understand why you wouldnt spend a few hundred Quids to buy some proper winter clothes to continue the Japan trip, rather you chose to give up everything and buy expensive business class ticket last minute back home

You are only praising the American based airlines because now you live there
They cant compete with Qatar or Emirates and some Asian airlines in terms of quality and in flight service and I reckon you know that already

if they lose your bag you have something like a $3800 credit. I would just purchase what I needed. I don't check bags just for this reason though. Purchasing is a hassle, but probably not as big a hassle as going home.

You have a fair point Noel regarding Singapore vs united in Biz, but for 90 per cent of the travelling public whom fly economy, Singapore is a much better choice. United economy is pathetic in comparison to SIA.

Im flying to the Philippines on Japan Airlines soon, and that got me thinking, I havent seen many videos where you go to the Philippines, or when you go on Japan airlines. Thatd be a really exiting video to see
