Be interested to see that train vid. Also ex Melbourne boy of 40 years and coffee is great but Starbucks is likely a dirty word and just there for tourists who want familiarity I reckon. We left Melbourne as your assessment of the city is accurate. We don’t really miss it at all now we are in Sunny Brisbane.
The kit show and tell was interesting. I laughed as apart from the go pro camera I have all the same kit, action cameras, drone, Mac, phone. The wife’s eyes rolled boys and their toys!

Wow, what a marathon! Very interesting behind the scenes look at the amount of work it takes to produce a single video, however I'm sure all this non-stop traveling, getting up at odd hours, the stress, not to mention all those irregular eating habits and fast food must take QUITE a toll on your health. I've noticed you've put on quite a bit over the past several months - think we haven't noticed I'm pretty sure all that non-stop traveling takes a toll on the family dynamics as well. Enjoy your break and try to stay healthy!

Melbourne is one of the great cafe capitals of the world. Please - the next time you're in Melbourne, please please please ask some locals for their recommendations for whatever type of food you're looking for, as it's absolutely available, and far, far, far better than anything you can get from Starbucks. Starbucks hasn't been successful in Australia because there are so many better options literally everywhere you go. The laneways have hidden gems. Look for where there are lines out the door, they're the good places.

That was really enjoyable. I am fascinated by how the behind scene things work as well. It would be great if you did a video with your planning for your trip too - see how you work out your routes, the airlines you are going to take etc. and then another one looking at how that actually plays out - were you able to get ebverything done, what had to change etc etc. And a final one looking at editting and putting it all together in different videos to make them entertaining etc.

Hi Noel first time commenting love your videos found you about a year ago and have been watching ever since the photo you showed 31: 17 might be called a bin chicken in Australia but are actually called a sacared Ibis and have been intertwined within our history for over 3, 000 years, the ancient Egyptians worshiped them as as an earthly form of the god thoth ( A god to prevent plagues and serpents, just a little cool fact for you again thank you for all you do

Hi Noel. next time you fly to Melbourne, can I suggest you stay at The Savoy hotel.
It's smack bang in the middle of the city, right opposite the Southern Cross stay ( where you would have arrived on The Overland from Adelaide train)
They have a magnificent buffet breakfast, where you can indulge in healthy ( or not so healthy ) options.
The beds are comfy, and you Ceri won't find gross stuff on the mattress or bed linen, either!

Absolutely the best video by far Noel (well of all the ones I’ve watched) I think the behind the scenes videos are a great idea. I thought I had an idea about just how hard this work was but you really hide the exhaustion etc so well when you make you videos it’s hard to know. But now I do. Well done keep up the awesome work and look forward to many many more videos.

I'd say yes to making a video for the Adelaide to Melbourne train, as Noel has alluded to, Noel is very popular and famous in Australia. And Virgin Australia too. We need airline scrutiny in Australia because we are distant from places like Europe and have different travel legislation, even though we have good links with Europe. Noel is a hero.

As someone who currently lives in Melbourne and has lived in NYC where I spent every day desperate for a Melbourne coffee:
Watching you literally walk past about 10 world class coffees and make the conscious choice to go to Starbucks hurt my soul.

Plenty of authentic enough fish and chips locales in Houston, several run by Brits. Bit of a drive from Magnolia, but there is Fish and Chips Houston in Kemah, The Red Lion pub in Houston, the Chipper in Katy, Hugh O'Conners. Not sure about up near the Woodlands, but plenty in town, just a bit of a drive!

I think you should release the overland video. I’m curious to see if your sentiments are shared with the majority of us in Adelaide and Melbourne about its slow running timetable, indirect routing and operation and advertisement as a tourist train as opposed to a form of public transportation

Oaks is like the budget option of hotels. That area you stayed in got at least 2 nice hotels right around the block, the W Melbourne and Intercontinental. Next time do your bloody research before spouting ignorant shit about Melbourne mate. Expect better from someone who travels for a living like you.

Way to tick almost 5 million Melbourinans. I do agree with you though, other than the cafe scene, something it's a shame you didn't bother with, it's not really pleasant city compared to some of our other cities. As unfair as it may seem, to me Melbourne is Australia's Birmingham or Liverpool: P

Noel, you were in Melbourne and couldn't find a decent breakfast! You could trip over half a dozen decent breakfast places in one block. I understand you're very particular about your Starbucks egg bite things, but seriously have a smashed avo, poached eggs with crumbled feta, delicious!

I take my hat off to you Noel that you can keep doing these numbers of flights. Have got a few years on you and have done in excess of a thousand flights. I now avoid work related flights and if I can get somewhere on a train I will. Flights are just not the fun they were: -(

As a pom who's lived in Brisbane since 1973, I'd take Melbourne over Sydney anytime. Melbourne is actually a nice city, Sydney's a hole. Once you've seen the opera house and the bridge, that's it.
Loved the BTS and, as someone else said, bloopers are always good to see too.
