Flew Air NZ 3 weeks ago, got to just about to board our flight in domestic, announcement came, the plane on the tarmac is broken we need to wait a couple of hours ang get a plane from Auckland to come down and pick you lot up to go to Auckland, but of course missed our connecting flight to Sydney Australia but now 5hours late, ok so the staff at Palmerston North got us another flight to Sydney but now 5 hours late. Ordinally flying on the Dreamliner, but ended upon a A380 neo very small in a 3 /3 configuration, and packed to the max, . Iv heard Air NZ are nowhere near as good as they used to be, and I tend to agree. We did fly back on the Dreamliner, premium economy but that wasnt really worth the extra dosh as the food was disgusting and by the time they got to us there's none of what we liked, Flippen disgraceful. You pay the extra to so you get better food etc but thats not what you get

Yeah, Ezeiza is easily the worst airport I've ever travelled out of. Arrived 3. 5 hours ahead of flight, only to find the incompetent wankers of LATAM had only a few common queues for all flights, all of which departed around the same time, meaning queues out the door. Took over an hour to check-in, followed by the same process you suffered to get through security, then the incomprehensibly lazy and incompetent line for immigration.
Sadly, that's the business culture of Latin America - owners don't care the service is shit, staff are probably paid a pittance, and equally don't give a shit as a consequence.
On a lighter note: the food looked average, but you seem to have completely ignored the empanadas, being the one good food in the lounge that Argentina is famous for.

Great video Noel. I flew Iberia airlines from Lisbon through Madrid as a partner airline of American. They were not very good either. Made me late and caused me to miss my flight back to the USA. Put me up in a crappy Airport Suites hotel. Seems like Iberia has lots of issues as the line at their service desk was out the door. Also the Madrid Airport is bad for layovers since it is so huge and takes a long time to traverse. I’d be interested in seeing you fly through with Madrid as a layover of less than 2 hours. Could you make your next flight

As a fello Argentinean, this hurts to see not only because I want my Airlines to succeed but also because you Noel didn't do your research on the current situation of the airline or country, now I don't excuses my airline performance including the lounge and the over priced ticket. but you as a travel content creator should also do some research on the airline so you can explain to your community why this and that might be happening. Im still going to keep watching the content you post because makes escape reality for at lest 20 mins a day.

. and that pasta bolognese didn't look like pasta bolognese at all. lol. Poor Noel. Well, better that then another crossing of south america by bus, indeed. It must be said that as a mum, I can't help appreciate the huge baby changing table. You don't just have to put the baby there, but also the napkins, fresh and used, the baby bag and all the things to need to change it. It's very problematic to change a baby in an airplane toilet. That feature alone might be worth the supplement, lol.

Saran (suh-ran or sah-ran, depending on the region) Wrap is a brand originally made by Dow in 1949. It's creator named it after both his wife Sarah and his daughter Ann; hence Saran. In America, we tend to just call things by the most popular national brand name for the item whether it's made by that brand or not. ex: adhesive bandage is a Band-Aid, facial tissue is Kleenex, cling film is Saran Wrap, reusable containers are Tupperware, etc.

When I was a young child growing up in New York City, there was a TV game show that aired in the evenings. They must’ve given out a lot of New York to Buenos Aires flights on the show because they would always announce at the end, promotional consideration provided by Aerolineas Argentinas.
I would watch it with my dad and I would laugh because I would always call it Aerolineas Argentineas, which I thought sounded so funny.

Excellent, entertaining video as always. Saran was formerly an American trademark for various thermoplastic resins used in fabrics, acid-resistent pipes and fittings, and as a transparent wrapping material. It's often used as a generic word, kind of like Xerox used to be the brand name of a particular photocopy machine, but eventually is a generic term for any brand of photocopy machine and is used as a verb for making a photocopy.

Noel, one thing to point out. Depending on the airline and the culture, the plastic wrap is considered polite and a way to prove the product is fresh. Now for the most part smart airlines will have the staff remove it just at the time of delivery to your seat. Some just don't know or care. But the product would have been in the meal trolley wrapped individually like this right until serving.
reply

I had to look it up. The word Saran was formed from a combination of John Reilly's wife's and daughter's names, Sarah and Ann Reilly. In 1949, Dow introduced Saran Wrap, a thin, clingy plastic wrap that was sold in rolls and used primarily for wrapping food. It quickly became popular for preserving food items stored in the refrigerator. So, it's named after the inventors wife and daughter.

Enjoyed that Noel. Trust me on this - as someone that used to work between the UK and Argentina, the offering via Air Europa wouldn't have been any better - most possibly, even worse! That said, they're generally cheaper. I've only taken internal flights with Aerolineas Argentinas; usually on Embraer aircraft. Domestic flights aren't bad to be honest mate.
reply

To be fair, the Argentine economy has been in the toilet for t6he past number of years, so it is not surprising the national carrier and its planes are a bit tatty. I believe if you wave your wand while snapping your wrist and simultaneously saying aerolineas argentineas a slab of meat (like a big flank steak) slaps your opponent in their face.
reply

Americans typically call a product by the name they are first introduced to that product by.
Saran Wrap (plastic wrap) is how we distinguish from Reynold's wrap (Aluminum foil).
We call all brands of plastic Saran and all brands of aluminum Reynolds.
Most parents who didn't know better used the word Nintendo to refer to ALL video games.

I could be wrong but i believe this flight was actually part of your round the world try with all the skyteam airlines. In fact it was part of the SAS 1 million miles, of course provided you flew on 15 different skyteam airlines. Anyways, i could be wrong but instead of it being round the world in the video, it’s an in depth on this flight

9: 04 I think the slip flight attendants were preparing their own meals, as the probably assumed the passengers were too tired to eat anything proper Looks like they pilfered the snack bar at the business class lounge you were at, wrapped in cling wrap and randomly handed i5 out to passengers who were persistent enough to ask for food. l
reply

Did not see anything suggestive of a terrible flight experience other than the interior wear and tear. Back pain could be expected for people who sleep on a full stomach. Bang for the buck wise, Argentina is on a runaway inflation trajectory, so yes, another airline could be a better choice.
reply

You've got me a bit worried now. I'll most likely be flying Aerolineas Argentinas from Ushuaia to Santiago, via Buenos Aires (AEP) next year. There doesn't seem to be any other option, at least not for the USH-AEP leg and, as far as I can tell, no business class available either.
reply

Been flying them between Sao Paulo and Santiago with a long stop-over in BA in both directions. I don't remember the flights much, so they were okay. But it's the only time (so far) they stole products from our luggage during the return stop-over. So, needless to say, never again.
reply

Wow definitely mark this airline off the list. The best you can say is that it got you there safely. That hotel looks great though. Sounded like you were off on another challenge. Let us know how that goes.
P. S. I’m a big fan of Press N Seal instead of Saran Wrap.

reply

Angled flat beds are 100% the Worst! I find the same thing. I slide down them and end up in the fetal position at the footwell. When the plane hits turbulence, sliding down the seat happens even quicker. The genius behind these seats needs to be put in jail. Failed engineering
