If I was an American travelling to Europe, I would suggest doing it differently. I would book an AirBnb on the outskirts of London as the hub location, since it's the easiest for English speakers. Pick a place close to a main train line. From there it's easy to pop into central London. Then I would fly to Paris, Rome, Amsterdam etc for day trips. using the cheap airlines. A flight to Amsterdam or Paris from London takes only about an hour. 2 hours to Berlin, 2 hours to Prague, less than 3 hours to Rome. And you can travel super light, no suitcases, often just the clothes you wear. Boarding times as little as half an hour before flying. Overnight stay on flights over 2 hours if you need to. Paris would be my 2nd choice hub, particularly if you know a little French. Madrid, if you speak some Spanish etc. Your hub location being where you can manage your trip the easiest and take a break from travelling if you need it. If you're very flexible on location leave booking the day you leave to get a late deal, otherwise book ahead. The advantage of being flexible on destination is that you can check the weather and travel disruptions at destinations before you book.
Also consider switching visits to the big international cities for the regional cities. You may get a more convincing French experience if you visit Nantes instead of Paris, or for Spain, Seville instead of Madrid.
The way Steve has done it in the video requires every connection to work. If one fails he might then be one day or more late for every future hotel booking on his trip. Flying from a hub location means you often don't even need to book a hotel.

Call me provincial, call me small-minded, call me a xenophobe, but I still say that the good old U-S-of-A is more impressive than Europe.
There's no doubt that the historical sights and classic architecture in Europe far surpass what we have in the U. S.
However, American topography is more impressive and diverse than that found in Europe, American spaces are larger than European spaces, the American people are wilder than their European counterparts, everything in the U. S. is in English, and in the U. S, there's a pervasive feeling in the air that anything, no matter how beautiful or bizarre, is possible.
Plus, here at home, I can carry virtually any firearm I want.
Europe is a great place filled with great people, but when it's time for me to take a vacation, I'll opt for New Mexico or Idaho or the Lost Coast of California over Europe any day of the week.

You made the right decision about Greece. Never rush Greece. Greece has extremly diverse landscape, culture and history. From the Pelloponese, to Athens, Northen Greece, the Aegean, Ionian islands and Crete. It takes a good 8 days at least to enjoy Greece in my opinion. Also don't try taking trains to and from Greece. Greece itself has high speed train connections betwen cities, but the Balcans don't. Hint; Airtravel is not taxed in Greece, so its the cheapest in Europe. Go for it! Also try to visit the broader region too! Turkey is a nice place to go after Greece, Romania and Bulgaria are pretty awesome too! Don't forget Cyprus; )

1 Quick tip for the modern day. DO NOT email yourself scans of passports, IDs, plane tickets, etc. Hacking is at it's peak, especially on free and public wifi connections, like the ones found in hotels, restaurants, even transportation locations. Also, you may be disconnected for periods of time during your trip. You won't recieve updates if someone logs onto your account, and all of your personal info could be stolen by the time you're back home.
Other than that, great video, even now when technology is developing faster and faster.

-when in italy, go to Luca instead of pisa
-remeber that europe use 230volts instead of the 110volts in the US.
-when in England, traffic comes from the left when you cross the street.
-tons of restaurants or bars in europe have free wifi, check for open routers to download or upload photo's without using your 4G data.
-remember that rules may be different between countries, weed might be legal in Holland but sure isn't in France or Italy

I enjoyed watching this but have a few suggestions. If you have a smartphone with affordable data with you, download google translate. It's a great way to communicate. I go to Europe almost every year, so I bought an inexpensive unlocked smartphone to take with me. I buy a SIM card with data and minutes for each country I visit. Also look for free Apps that can be used as guidebooks. Buy ebooks instead of paper books for guides.

How could u build an itinerary like that. Cutting out Greece or Rome is like chopping off an arm. You need months to travel Europe. Each city deserves a week or two each
