Interesting, I know I can get a hold of loads of pallets for free, plenty of projects out there. An important thing to remember, here in the U. S. many pallets are treated against insects and water. If you are looking at a pallet to burn or build with, scrape the side of the wood and if it smells like wood then Bob's your uncle, but if it smells like chemical best not burn it B-)

Hi Graham TA make some great vids keep up the good work. I have a tip for you when knocking the nails back through the wood slats, if they are long and been fired in deep they tend to buckle and bend when kocking them through, just take some cutters and nip them down to about 1 long and they knock through easy without bending.

I discovered this woodworking book more out of curiosity than utility, pepe amazing plan (Google it, and I happen to be amazed. It never dissatisfied me in my wish to acquire more information about the art of woodworking. I discovered several topics like wood types as well as designing your workshop.

Love this video How did the roof fair Graeme, wood staying dry? A lot of other wood store build videos are using ply and felt, but like you I don't want to spend money when I have pallet wood to play with

Another cord you could have is one rated for heavy power usage. Not cheap, but I paid 80 US for one in 2005, and I still have a fantastic cord for using anything from a drill to a table saw.

Something like this would be really great on a farm that has a lot of trees around. Great way to not only save money but to save all those fallen branches and trees for bond fires.
