Building a MINI VILLAGE The Cabin (PART 1)

We get to work building a mini village for my daughter. Part 1 focuses on building the mini off grid cabin from recycled pallet wood. The plan is to build an entire small village with different mini houses. Some structures will be bushcraft based, using simple hand tools and natural resources. Others will be more diy based, using power tools and recycled lumber for the construction. Each structure has been carefully planned out. This is a father and son project, and we hope that my one year old daughter Evelyn will get many years of fun out of it!

This is fantastic! I can't wait to see the series develop. I was inspired by your videos in the first lockdown to build my kids something out of pallet wood. I made them a very nice bird hide! But they decided to turn it into a nerf gun bunker! They then got me to buy some old tractor tyres and we now have a nerf gun war zone in the back garden! But it teaches my kids how to use a hammer and nails and get their creative brains on, and gets them outside. So thank you for your inspiring content. Brilliant!

Your Dad is an incredible man, and your daughter is very lucky to be guided by both you and your father with this knowledge. As a girl, I'd have loved for male role models who could've taught me this growing up. Thanks for sharing, Mike.

not trying to take anything away from good job that has been done but would it not be easier to start the siding from the bottom of the wall instead of the top? haven't done it before just thought it wouldnt move about as much.

Hang fire where is the small door for Jack's to open and close? Giving him access to a hide-away when he is in the doldrums, chewing on his bones or just idling the hours away till the next meal time?

Your father reminds me so much of my grandpa, he also had all the stuff you would ever need at home and if you had a problem he built something to fix it: )
They even look alike, lol

Hi Mike, who was the lady helping hold the house walls up?
Also, be careful of having a lock on the door. My sister was once locked in a playhouse by a very naughty child once.
