Amazing that there is no mention of Portugal's Celtic history or it's Sephardic History. Two cultures responsible for much of the culture that ventured not just locally, but was part of the largest migrations out of Portugal to other lands. Like Ireland and America and what about their own piece of Basque history outside of Basque Country? Celtic Highlands w/ rock houses, thatched roofs and hobbit habitats? Wine? Portugal has so many Wine districts, that never get mentioned and how can any tour be complete w/o visiting 'Fatima'?

I have visited faro and lagos. I would say lagos is not all about nightlife, but it has a great warmth to it: from its people to its wonderful beaches and grottos and palm trees. Whilst faro is somewhat a bit more relaxed and laid back town it has got some old charm to it. It got the famous ria formosa which got variety of bird species. The nice cobbled Street along the colourful houses.

What a trash video. Poor pronunciations of atleast half the places mentioned. I lived near Tomar for 7 years that should have had a mention. Incredible convento de cristo built by the knights templar. Also why the Azores and Maderia thats not part of mainland portugal at all? Oh and Fatima and the sierra de estrella is the highest montain IN portugal numpty.

While we were there we stayed in Foz Coa and Figueira for the bulk of our two weeks and the final day in Porto. So we visited Foz Coa (Museo Foz Coa was amazing, Muxagata, Trancoso, Nossa Senhora Da Veiga, Figueira, Nazare, Obidos, Coimbra, Fatima and Porto. There are so many gorgeous sites to see and the landscape is amazing.

It's kinda of an insult of Porto being number 6, it should be number one, not only the city is more beautiful than Lisbon in my opinion but people in Porto are a lot friendlier and opened, the city follows the tradition while Lisbon is more the Modern and the food in Porto is a lot better and a lot more reasons

the big cliff about 1. 0, i saw tremendous swells hit it, and green water splash on top. In the winter. When in Porto, walk along the waterfront, duck into a tiny bar and eat chichi beans with a cold brew. Help the little businesses. Eat a can of sardines packed in mustard Get up early, enjoy the fog. Great city

What? Porto at no. 6? I was there 3 years ago. All I can say is it was soooooo beautiful and stunning The scenery was simply like on the calender. The food, bakeries, cakes were simply amazing and affordable. The people were very friendly as well.

Planes, Trains, Everything.
I had not really thought of Portugal other than a cheap beach holiday destination until a few years ago when I visited Faro and Lisbon. I've been back twice. A truly beautiful country.
