Located between the Pacific and Indian Oceans, Australia is the worlds largest island and its smallest continent. Theres room to move in the Land Down Under, and with so many sights to discover and enjoy, theres a great incentive to go on a walkabout adventure. Whether exploring the traditional lifestyle of the nations Aboriginal people, relaxing on a sun-kissed beach or reveling the night away in a city hot spot, Australia has something special to offer every visitor

I swear I would give 1, 000 to any American that can pronounce any of our cities correctly or the word emu, but of course as usual when an American does a film like this they have no idea of geography. I'm thinking of all these poor backpackers wondering around the Kimberleys looking for cairns lol and Uluru or Ayers Rock as we like to call it is no longer able to be walked on the traditional people have banned that so you can go and have a look spend ridiculous amounts of money in the hotels there but you're not allowed to actually climb the rock and if you have young babies do not leave them in a tent at any of the camping sites dingoes love them

touropia, although it's spelled cairns, as are the stacks of rocks for hikers, with the Aussie accent, it's pronounced correctly as CANS, and I say this as an American. I was there in '87. Same topic re. Brisbane; it's BRIZ-bn, not BRIZ-bain, and to be more specific, the nebulous name Sunshine State is actually Queensland. Kakadu N. P. is #16 in size in the world, between the sizes of New Hampshire and New Jersey. The 3rd. mispronounced city is Melbourne; rather than MEL-born, or MEL-burn (as it was here, it's MEL-bn. Before the days of worldwide political correctness, Uluru was Ayers Rock, and down the road a mile or 2 is Kata Tjuta, or The Olgas.

I am trying to find the name of this place in Australia that I have seen twice now. Its in between two red cliffs and is a river. I swear Ive seen it on an episode of river monsters and Jeremy wade was fishing for trilobite looking fish. cant find that either. Its also in the movie, Goldstone and Jimmy is taking Jay to see his heritage there. He is singing an aboriginal song while rowing along and showing the art on the rock. Im not one of those self-centered white tourists that have to touch and destroy everything so I wasnt planning to visit. Im just curious.

Why promote stale ol' cities when there is so many more natural wonders to see. We all know that Australian cities rate highly for livability, but how about the REAL Australia, like the outback, and some of the most pristine forest areas in the world, which at one time had the highest trees in the world. You really missed the stop with this presentation, big time.

It's a bit annoying how they just name cities and don't even give the iconic destinations of AustraliaEdit: Oh yeah, and Yankunytjatjara and Pitjantjatjara people don't really appreciate tourists climbing the rock, and tourists destroy the Great Barrier Reef, 93% has suffered from coral bleached.

The monorail in the footage of Sydney is at least 8 years old if not older. I remember the last week it was running before they pulled it down, me and my girlfriend at the time rode it for hours around the loop. Was a such a fun day, I remember it so fondly.

Indeed Australia is a peaceful continent of the World, but China is piercing into it to spoil it. If Govt. of Australia does not take action in time, that will suffer like India, a democratic country.

Australia is indeed a unique and diverse country. There are animals here that cannot be found elsewhere. For me, Melbourne is Number 1. It is exciting, liveable with a good economy.
