Saudi Arabia is poised to become a leading destination for marine tourism once the Red Sea Islands, Amaala, and Sindalah projects are fully completed. You can visit the Red Sea Islands, where you'll find a diverse range of resorts, including beachfront resorts (such as Shibara Reserve, Nujuma Resort a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, and St. Regis Red Sea, mountain resorts (such as the Desert Rock Resort, and desert resorts (such as the Six Senses Red Sea Islands Resort, all in one location a unique experience not even found in the Maldives.
The diversity of seaside, mountain, and desert resorts is what those who love a varied tourist experience are looking for, rather than staying for an extended period in a seaside resort. This is what distinguishes the Red Sea islands.
I heard that the first phase of the Amala project has also been completed, but I believe it hasn't been officially opened yet; only the wealthy and those close to the Saudi government go there.
Al-Ula and the Red Sea islands are both new honeymoon destinations, and what's special about them is their proximity to each otheronly 3. 5 hours by car.

Was the resort inspired by the Mr. Potato Head game
What is a typical plant that would be eaten for breakfast Tanaman
Noticing the Work Desk in the rooms, do most people stay Potato Head to do office work while there
Why are guests encouraged to mix their own drinks Cost savings for the resort
Can you share who the world-famous architects are that designed the resort
What makes the Beach Club the most iconic in the World
You stated that Potato Head Beach Club had unobstruced views of the ocean, do most beach resorts in Bali have obstructed views of the ocean
Is there a certain time of the year when the sandy beach is Golden In the video, it is Brown.
At Dome, is it mandatory to share your plate with someone else
Since Ijen restaurant has a zero-waste policy, does that mean you cannot leave until you have eaten everyting on your plate
What are earth-toned breezeblocks

Wow, for a moment I thought we were in Cologne-Porz, until I learned that OMA (Rem Koolhaas) was behind it. And even the millions of handmade bricks in the rooms and suites don't dispel this terrible 1960s charm, this concrete model city. What some celebrate as a stark contrast to the clean, natural architecture of Bali will be a maintenance nightmare for the local engineers. Because if the construction companies botched the job and the steel is covered by less than 5 centimeters of concrete, the sea (the salty air) will eat away at the steel within decades. But at least the tourists will have a safe air-raid shelter for the next ten years, in case of the next tsunami, and all with the 1960s style of Rem Koolhaas. Thanks for the great video. Greetings from Switzerland.

What's the point of traveling so many hours all the way to a 3rd world country to sit in another resort just like any other There's warm weather all over the world, there's beaches everywhere, and above all there's hotels like that absolutely everywhere. It's just to tell others that We were in Bali, right
I mean when we've traveled to places like this in Fiji etc. we could've been anywhere. And the fake, performative local tours could've been faked in California, Spain, or anywhere.
In fact many other places more nearby have fewer health risks, unpleasant bugs and reptiles.
That particular hotel I'd avoid like the plague: so crowded, and thump-thump-music all the time!
Nice video though of course as usual!

Hello Traveler,
Well, these three words are not usually three you use in a single description of any resort you've shown us: Bold, Modern, and a bit Brutal.
Hey, wait a minute, there is something missing from the amenity bar! A Mr. Potato Head. mu ha ha ha ha
hmmm. Maybe a Half a Million Dollar Sunset. But beautiful none the less. One cannot complain if they are seeing a sunset in BALI!

In your typical style, you seemed to be oblivious to many of the amazing features the Desa has: the wellness programs in particular. In the opening shots, you obnoxiously kept flying your drone over the morning meditation session that was taking place on the top floor space. That was a total vibe killer. Shame on you. You clearly dont understand this place. Big fail.

Visited twice in Sep 2018 and 2022. Everything was outstanding - from the upkeep of the public areas to the food and service. I had planned a third visit, but Bali has unfortunately become much more crowded in recent years, which, in my view, takes away from the magic the island once had.

Hi Doc Potato Head Bali is an interesting dynamic in your Bali series. Thanks for sharing as we really enjoyed it. If you remember at the first of the year I mentioned the challenges in 2026. I’m sure you recognize the situation now. Please stay safe in your travels. Best wishes

Nice vid, I have stayed here before, Look like you were in Katamama, I have also stayed in their beachfront suites, But i think the Katamama suites are best. The food is very good there, also Alila is next door and they have a great Beach bar, another great hotel

I guess this hotel mainly sells about swimming pool and the beach, Expert filmed a lot on it. I would say the meal you eat looked really local, I hope Expert would enjoyed it. Look forward for A380 flight review, always a fan of A380. Thank you Expert!

It looks fine (if a bit crowded with the buildings so close together) but I would hate the noise at night with the DJ music. I prefer to listen to the sound of the waves. I stayed at the hotel next door once (W, same thing.

If i'm not mistaken, this hotel designed by Andramatin, architect from Indonesia.
Sepertinya dibuat memang utk 'ramai', barangkali tdk seperti hotel2 yg sudah diliput sebelum2nya.

Not sure how I feel about this hotel, but thanks, as ever, for a great video. I thought the use of the reclaimed shutters was spectacular
