Great memories.
I used to fly twa every holiday to visit my dad in ca after my parents divorced.
I was put on a plane by myself starting at the age of 8.
I sways flew in and out of the twa terminal at jfk cuz I lived in the rockaway.
Always loved that place with its cool architecture.
Glad they restored it.
I need to stay there when I get a chance.
I used to love watching the airplanes at jfk when I was old enough to go out to places on my own. I'd hang out at jfk just to watch.

FYI fun fact. TWA had a monopoly for decades on flying to other countries. NO other airline was permitted to do that by law. Also TWA had the latest jets which were able to fly across the ocean and for a short time other airlines were not allowed to buy those cutting edge planes.
this building as a hotel is better than it was as an airport terminal and only people with tons of money flew back then.

Very cool hotel. I see it when I go to the air port. I dont know if I would stay there. The 60's look gives me anxiety. Assassinations, Vietnam war, The fight for civil rights. I dont get the feel good vibes by association.

As always, a perfect video. Was the arrives/depart sign board in the entrance displaying actual flights or was it just for show? Keep up the awesome work.

Not a mask in sight - this footage must be at least a year old. Was here in the summer of 2020 and it was mostly closed up. Beautiful space though!

I remember as a child going their for school tours when it was still operational. My Uncle worked for TWA for years before they disappeared.

How fresh and modern this building still looks after almost 60 years. Thankfully, the plans to demolish this terminal were not carried out.
