Join me on a Business Class trip onboard a JetBlue Airbus A321 aircraft from New York's JFK Airport to St Maarten (pre-covid. JetBlue s Business Class (called Mint ) is a truly outstanding product and includes fully enclosed Business Class suites with a sliding door. The video - recorded prior to the pandemic - also features the landing & touchdown at St Maarten s notorious Princess Juliana Airport. The airport is famous around the world for its low landings over the ocean, owing to one end of its single 7, 546 ft (2, 300 m) long runway being extremely close to the shore. I was in a six seater Cessna type aircraft flying from east Africa to Zanzibar Island, I got lucky and the pilot put me in the copilot seat as he balanced out the plane. I ve never flown a plane and the pilot didn t speak English but I watched closely as he took off and trimmed the plane out. Later as I was looking out the window at the sea below and we hit a pocket of dead air, the plane just dropped vertically for a few seconds (it felt a lot longer. Thinking that the pilot had lost control I grabbed the controls and then sheepishly realised I had no idea what to do with them. The pilot thought this was hilarious and laughed and chatted at me for the rest of the trip, I ve no idea what he was saying but it clearly made his day.

I don t fly often so thankfully I haven t had to deal with any bad turbulence. My dad did though. His plane bounced a few times and nearly skidded off the runway while landing when the area had one of those lovely summertime pop up thunderstorms. No damage or injuries but he was a bit green when we picked him up haha.

When I moved to England in 2007, the flight I had over had terrible turbulence. We bounced up and down and during the landing it felt like the plane was moving from side to side. :( It felt like bouncing on a horse or something. Everyone clapped when we landed.

Your videos give me hope. In the UK we're in hard lockdown, can only go out for food, and the weather is dismal.
Keep the uploads coming giving us all dreams we can soon enjoy once more.
Good work!

Thank you for flying above the clouds, Doctor. You've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace, where never lark nor ever eagle flew-
And that's what I miss the most. Safe journeys to you and all.

The best way to watch these vlogs are in a dark room and headphones on with the volume up and immerse yourself in these vlogs and try block out the dire situation we are all in. Keep the vlogs coming.

I didn't know you lived in New York for a while, very interesting. :)
Also I would have never have found that tray table in a million years.

WOW, can't remember JetBlue had a Business Class at all back in 2009 (correct me if I'm wrong) but this product on an A321 is really amazing!

Worst turbulence ever? Singapore to Colombo on Sri Lankan airlines. I saw my onboard meal levitating for a few milliseconds every minute.

I always love watching your videos. I hope this situation around the world ends soon enough so everyone can get back to doing what we love
