I flew BA from Sydney/Heathrow and back in premium economy and the food was good and the cabin crew were always willing to refill your glass and they were very friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed the flight both ways. We were late leaving Sydney because the baggage handlers had loaded the baggage hold incorrectly with the people getting off our flight at Singapore to catch connecting flights their baggage was loaded first instead of last. So all the baggage had to be unloaded and then reloaded. Still we were kept well supplied with booze. I flew BA because the premium economy on Singapore Airlines was an extra 4k which I felt was a rip off. One of these days I'll fly to the UK business class just to try it.

I used to to fly on BA Business class but the service has just gone down and down over the last several years - they used talk about World Class chefs creating a menu - now that'd be pointless. The kitchen/snack area is bare save a single limp chicken wrap and they still give you metal cutlery for an egg and cress sandwich wrapped in plastic - no one told the person that the metal spoon isn't needed either. Would rather fly with another And why do they get you to put your seats upright 45mins before you land - I'm an adult trying to relax? Chicken or beef, chicken or beef, chicken or beef, chicken we have no beef left: -)

I love flying, ill definitely wanna fly on the A380 and 747, but I worry the most about turbulence if its bumpy or not, and I also hate the big drop in altitude when the pilot had to slow the plane cause it was goin too fast and he put the brakes on, the plane just felt like it did a big drop, but we landed good. that's what I worry about the most, turbulence and the big drop, but personally and honestly if im not getting a window seat I freak out and don't enjoy the flight. when their IS turbulence I try to think of it as a roller coaster or im on a 4 wheeler driving through the rough terrain.

I went to Kuwait from Heathrow on BA. it was a 777. I have to say the service and food were both excellent( economy plus) The flight was so smooth I didnt even realise when we landed. Well done and Thankyou to all the crew. Travelled 07. 19. On the flip side I travelled to Istanbul from Manchester on Turkish airlines economy ( A321)Both flight and service were poor and sub standard. Turbulent all the way. Food was really bland. Nothing much positive to say about the whole experience. The new terminal ( departures ) at Istanbul was nice, but too much security checks. Travelled 08. 19.

I am unable to understand why have the Business and First Class passengers made to walk miles and miles to reach the Lounge? At the time of check-in, why can't the clerk at the counter inquire whether he/she would like to go the lounge for a while and then do some window shopping or otherwise and arrange for a Golf Cart immediately after immigration formalities? I have been viewing so many of such clips where I see Business Class and First Class passengers walk and walk and walk all the way to the Lounge and then continue their walking all the way to the flight.

Flew British. first and last time Awfully crowded even tho it was business class. They pack 8 across when other airlines do 6. And charge you 175 Australian dollars to choose a seat. Each way Free if you wait til 24 hours prior but then you get limited choice. And the flight attendants have to drop your privacy screen each time they serve you something and lean across the passenger next to you. Then unless you're on a window seat, you have nowhere to put your water bottle or eyeglasses thru the night when your bed is down. Was not a happy passenger.

. and finally after a lot of digging through old stuff at home I found BA's Mission Statement from 1991 which is entitles A Company Aiming To Be The Best and includes Service and Value: To provide overall superior service and good value for money in every market segment in which we compete. Customer Driven: To excel in anticipating and quickly responding to customer needs and competitor activity. They would do well to re-visit their 1991 values

Parimal ,
Flying with BA? Then ensure that a rope is tied to your luggage & it's other end to your seat. BA is world expert in loosing baggage. And finding it is close to impossible. Also, they can't handle musical instruments properly. Least said the better about their on-board service. If flying on European airline, I would prefer Lufthansa (& hope pilots don't go on strike: P. Nonetheless, my favorite one remains Singapore airlines.

So you were flying backwards with this strange seat configuration? I would dislike that a lot. I used to be kind of scared when flying ( which was a real bummer since I wanted to be an airline pilot ) but I found out that it was due to a lack of confidence in myself and nearly everything thanks to the help of a very good therapist / psychiatrist. Since then I am not afraid of flying anymore: -)
