Read here my review of this flight: Official hotel website: shan_rocks: The Maldives for people who don't know is it's own country south of India. It's a chain of islands. I have been there twice before and it is better than the carribean or the Canary Islands in Spain. The weather is stunningly good, (does get a little hot. But the life of the Island is one of joy and adventure and the entire country has such a relaxed aura around it. I absolutely loved it there. If I can get a job there (even if it pays 3 times less, I would not mind it for the simple Island life.

Sadly, even the most exclusive of the Maldivian islands/resorts, have now been infested with hordes of tattooed (male and female)east Europeans, whether Poles, Russians, Bulgarians and now - God help us - RomaniansI've been four times now and will never go back as the standards keep dropping. Also, I do not like the feeling of being in central Warsaw when it's supposed to the Indian Ocean

Thanks for taking us along on the flight I've never been to the Maldives but definitely will. It looks stunningly beautiful but half of the beauty is under the water IMHO. Anyway, I've been to the Society Islands (Bora Bora, Moorea, Tahiti) twice and I think it's the most stunning destination on earth. The landscape is so dramatic and colorful - and the water a thousand shades of blue

There was once a documentary on the OTHER side of tourism in Maldives, where the amount of rubbish created by hotels, was killing the island. and while giving jobs to the locals, the wages weren't good enough to give those locals a better life, thus some of them living in very primitive places, with one gas stove for food.

Been there once and it truly was paradise. I love the twin otters, but it was so loud it kinda popped my eardrums a little, even with ear muffs. The video reminds me of the greatest time of my life, I subbed. The background music is lovely, very nostalgic. I can't wait to go back Thank you so much for this

Yes poor people of the world, this how rich people live. Most of them are able to live this way because of luck not merit. When you go on vacation you are nickeled and dimed at every turn, they just pay a huge up front fee and don't have to worry about anything, which they don't have to anyway.

disappointed, no big tall hotels as in Miami Beach. no plastic bags flying with wind across beach. no civilization with air pollution, Maldives looks as very boring place. :) besides I do't like to travel to muslim countries as Maldives, France, Sweden or Germany.

Ass.

Any pilots with a float rating, is it worth getting a float rating first or a night rating/cpl? My course will pay for one of instructor, night or float ratings and im trying to figure out if theres good opportunities/pay in the seaplane industry

So sad. Such a lovely place soon to recede under the rising sea, in part due to air travel emissions. And that a beautiful country is under military dictatorship that imprisoned and tortured its last president, an amazing environmentalist.
