SWISS Boeing 777-300ER Business Class Zurich to San Francisco: a trip with the kids R. E. Bruce Martin: Re your fear of flying, from Camada. I don't myself have that fear, however I am aware that many do. there arere many videos on You Tube that deal with it. First, if there is any possibility that you may have some physiological challenge that may be a contributing factor, have a doctor do the forst check. If there is nothing there, ask a psychiatrist if he knows of any existing physiological posychiatric conditions which may exist in a subliminal state that could also be a contributing factor without one's knowledge. If so his training may enable him to prescribe one or other sort of psychotropic medication to alleviate. Since the dose of many mediucations are sunject to qualitative differences in results due to pharmacokenetics, the psychiatrist is the likely one to make the best of that. Folowing that you might want to see a psychologist to ask if there are any common underlying causes or contributing factors to fear of flight that would sit in the overall spectrum of personalty disorders, yet not be what we think of usually as personality disorders, and as such could exist unawares. Also, think for yourself, can you remember any traumatic episode in your (possibly distant) past that may also be a subliminal contributor? This also would be of concern to a psychologist to evaluate. Above all, professionalism has a high price, but not every high priced professional is with his asking price. Caveat emtor. Hopefully this checklist will be of some help to let you fly higher.

I dont have a fear of flying just major anxiety when it comes to flying, i suppose its just the unknown and having no control over things that i suffer with i get terrible thoughts, i was heading out to los angeles from heathrow i didnt eat for a whole day due to loss of appetite i had a bad stomach all week leading upto going, and i didnt sleep for 2 days, i cried boarding virgin atlantic that was the only crying i did untill turbulence kicked in that was it lol i ended up woth really bad swollen legs and feet where i was just to frightened to walk around the long haul flight, how i managed 4 flights in the space of 10 days ill never know buts its worth it when your feet touch the ground, i avoid strong medication but i did buy tablets called calms and they did kind of put me at ease your supposed to take them days before which i didnt know so they didnt have that much affect. I wont let my anxiety stop me from going on holidays.

Dr LTE, wouldn't it be wonderful to fly like a bird? Alas, we are human and are relegated to flying in fancy tin cans. The nose cones of modern airplanes are a replica of the cones found in falcon nostrils, which keep their lungs from bursting when they are diving from heights for prey. Falcons are a perfect aerodynamic creation of Mother Nature. Airplanes are just big falcons with food service-lol. I am being silly, but it did help me to try to understand the dynamics of flight and how a bird, or a plane, stays in the air. So I'm not afraid of flying per se, because i get to fly like a bird for a few hours. However, I am a bit claustrophobic, I don't like cramped spaces, and going through security is a drag. And no way can I sleep in economy. But until they think of a way to beam our molecules to our desired destination, we must accept. P. S. I love flying over the water to land in SFO--home sweet home Next stop Hawaii?

The kids are adorable so much better behaved than North american kids usually areAs for the IFE, I wonder if it would be practical for airlines to offer email service in the system. Passengers would use thewir own email addresses and passwords, passwords automatically being forgotten adfter each use. Then send and receive would be done when expedient automatically in one pachkage for all to be demultiplexxed on the ground and forwardrd, For reception, if the passenger is logged in at the time of reception, in the inflight demultiplexing of the packagemthey would get a notification on their screen to check. If not the email metadata would be returned to their normal email provider's server for redelivery later. In the interim. the ground server would keep a temporary copy of the email until it was finally read inflight or rejected, whichever happened first.

Hi, I wanted to share with you something I do before I fly. If you can order an amino acid called L-Theanine (400mg per tablet) and take one-two at least 30 minutes before boarding. L-Theanine is a natural relaxer (another one is called GABA) it calms your brain down and helps reduce anxiety and stress. I usually feel anxiety (a choking feeling) whenever I try to sleep on a business class seat. The reclining position provokes my anxiety, and therefore, restricts me from lying down at a 180 degrees angle to sleep. Taking L-Theanine relaxes me and I never get those panic attacks when I lie down. I take two, consult your doctor if youre taking other medications. L-Theanine is safe to take and it is actually found in green tea I hope this helps you and ease your mind when youre traveling: ) Let me know if this amino acid helped you

Hi. I too had a fear of flying. Especially during turbulant weather i panic. various thoughts used to disturb me like a plane crash or emergency landing etc. I helped my fear by cultivating a small habbit. I observe other passengers when i am panicked. If others are normal, everything is ok. I realize thats its just my fear and the negative thoughts overpowering the fact that flights are the most safest mode of transport. I should be worried only when every one else also is panicked. So, since then, i have controlled my flying anxiety a little and now i happily fly without worrying much about it. Hope this helps you too. Cheers

I guess the way at airport is to see the beautiful arts and features at the airport. Next is not to think of any accidents that may occur in a flight. I think staring at those lights at the plane's ceiling could work, and spend time on the IFE. If you have somebody beside u, u can spend time talking with him/her/it ) and I think that'll work. But if no, then ask a psychiatrist, if no then, it's ur faith hahahahhahaa. Oh & yes, my favourite commercial aircraft is B787 and A350.

Olivia and Viktor's native language? In Schweiz, it could be several, but most Europeans are polyglots anyway, unlike North Americans. so It would not surprise me if they spoke about 6 languages, Schweiz-deutsch to start Personally I speak English (native) French strong second, and Spanish third. Living in Montreal, I don't have to travel the world, here the world comes to me 80 or more languages in the streets in a day fun

I don't know if you'll read this but I really like the style of your videos so much. I love that you just film everything and put captions on your videos of your opinion. I could never afford to fly anything but economy but I really enjoyed watching your videos about the different companies. I feel like I'm living vicariously through these videos Also I absolutely adore flying but hate cars. If I could fly everywhere I would.
