I am trying to recognize any landmarks on this road. Back in the summer of 1974 after graduating
from high school out side Washington, DC. in Northern Virginia, which is where I live now. I was
able to get a job with the National Park Service in Estes Park. We were responsible for making the hiking
trails clean and safe. We worked with a schedule with working 10 days and four off. One weekend, my buddy
was able to get two tickets to the Johnny Winter concert at the Denver Coliseum. So, with us being with no car,
started to hitchhike to Denver from Estes Park. Back in those days it was somewhat safe to do that. With
three different people picking us up, we had no problem getting there. On, the back, we got separated somehow.
I was walking along some highway at two o'clock in the morning when some car started to slow down. Boy, was I scared.
I thought I was in the hitch hiker movie. To my relieve, it was my friend Robin, sitting in the passenger seat. The
driver was very friendly and drove both of us back to our living quarters with the park service. By the way, we enjoyed the
concert. 1974 was one crazy summer. Would like to come back and check it out. We sometimes went to a place
called: "The Rock Inn" for beers.

Is that seriously an average traffic day in Denver BTW, this is a very nice video, but that ending floored me. Living in metro Atlanta, seeing a car able to zip about in the middle of the city is fascinating. I'm sure that's an odd observation, but it stood out to me. LOL

I used to watch a Colorado trucker for my Colorado viewing. It got political too often. These videos are much better quality and no talking. THANK YOU!
