I was there in June (2020) and they finished blacktopping the road all the way out. It's a very smooth drive now. The State was also just about finished widening US-191 to four lanes from the north side of Moab to UT-128. That will be nice as that was such a bottleneck.
I've been to Moab four times now and always come in from the East (from Nebraska) via the Danish Flats exit. The first time the Ex and I went to Moab, I took this route in. When we passed Cisco and turned left onto UT-128 she said, "Where the hell are you taking me" I said, "Just wait. " Then once we passed the Dewey Bridge, I had to stop every five minutes so she could take pictures!
Thanks for posting. I normally only see this road early in the morning driving out to one of the Jeep trails, or in the evening when we're heading back to the campground.

Beautiful video and great job. I made that same trip in August 1969 and sure do remember how beautiful a trip it was. At that time that first bridge (Dewey Bridge) was a wooden bridge and barely 1 lane wide and the whole road was dirt or gravel, what an improvement. Would do it again in a heart beat but a LONG way from Pennsylvania. Thanks for sharing. RK

The sun glare didn't bother me, as I wasn't watching the sun. I was afraid your hood was going to fly off every time you hit one of those bumps. LOL All together a wonderful journey. The last bit was like driving through the Grand Canyon. Thanks for sharing.
