Dixie, How would you describe the crowd? According to what I've read, you are hiking in the off-season, but it seems like you are still facing a good number of people that are hiking the Camino. Has it felt crowded or busy at all? There are times where you seem somewhat isolated and others where you've described having some difficulties finding space in albergues.

I'm not sure if this is the case, but I'm guessing those mice are not dead. mice tend to go into a sleep or minor hibernation when it's too cold to save energy. You can look up videos of people bringing mice back to life by warning them up. Either way, nice to get them off the path(:

Question Dixie. Being a vegan and planning on doing a Camino in 2021 will there be food available that I could eat? Looks like a lot of meat on the tables. If anyone else who has done a Camino and would like to share their thoughts that would be great. Cheers.

All the dead shrews are the losers of the nightly shrew fights. They are very aggressive and when they meet they fight to the death. Enjoyed your video. All the best from Wales.

The mice may not be dead. If it is really cold sometimes they appear to be dead but are really just like in a coma to conserve energy. They will wake up when it warms up.

Watch out for some mice that might have just gotten too cold! They appear dead at times and just need to be heated up in sun or something. I love Montana's trail name!
