I remember that table with the snacks and water. So nice and gracious and I met the older gentleman that sets it out. He lives in the house right next to it. He was replenishing the table when I got there. I got his address off his stamp/sello and when I arrived in Santiago I bought a postcard from there and mailed it to him thanking him for his hospitality.

I'm loving your take on this. I hiked the Camino in 2017 and there's quite a few things that you've seen that I didn't. That road you ended the vlog on, it isn't the greatest since it is heavy traffic but as you'll already be aware there is some awesome trail magic up ahead in the near future.

6: 35, that dog I believe is a Galgo, which is a cousin of the greyhound. With the dog racing industry starting its collapse in the US, rescues are starting to look overseas to Ireland (greyhounds) and Spain (Galgos. China as well is starting to come into the picture.

In my favorite albergue there was a religious service in Spanish which was translated into English by a man from Belgium and was then translated into Russian by a girl from New York for the lady from Russia. We all helped prepare the pilgrim meal and ate together.

About three years ago, when I walked the Camino, I stayed in the same spot as you in Sahagun. I got the WORST bedbug attack ever. Like 300-400 bites all over my body. Nice elevator tho.

I agree with walking the full journey and not skipping. I love the journey, the ground I walk on, the people I met and the wonderful view. The destination is just a new beginning.

What's the next through hike you're doing? Perhaps a through hike involving some pf your community doing section hikes with your cdt group?

As you get closer to Santiago, consider taking a few days for the hike to Finisterre and Muxia. If you have time for only, I recommend Muxia.
