Fantastic Bird's-eye View of New York City Landing in LaGuardia Elizabeth: Pretty great view of Manhattan island. I used to frequently fly in and out of La Guardia. Favorite landing approach was when runway 04 was active: would usually fly south on the NJ side of Hudson River, providing a spectacular view of the entire Manhattan skyline from GW Bridge to Battery, left turn to line up on runway 04 just south of Statue of Liberty with an equally spectacular view of the Battery and bridges leading downtown from Brooklyn. It was like getting a three-minute Circle Line tour from the air. I ALWAYS requested left-side window seats when I knew the wind was from the north at La Guardia.

That was wonderful videography. That you for this video uploader. Please never take it down. The accompanying plane sounds are great: The acceleration before landing gear extension, Flaps extensions, Engine thrust adjustments, Final Touchdown, etc. There was no passenger noise to get in the way. Maybe, like me, they were simply enjoying watching this approach and landing. P. S. That steep left turn around Shea Stadium (oops CitiField) is one of my favorite approaches(Btw 7: 27 Let's Go Mets) I've watched it numerous times in flight -- sometimes while sitting on the wrong side of the plane -- and billions of times from the ground looking up, because I live in Queens (but also because I was born and raised in Manhattan where I lived on a high floor on 125th Street, which literally faces straight west to Runway 13.

So, it's Sunday morning the 1st of September 2019 and I'm watching the US OPEN Tennis Tournament and I see this thumbnail photo. and I think, why not? A curious mesh of NYC events. I sometimes forget just how far away I now am from New York. Did I just hear John McEnroe down below shouting You can't be serious Or, was that from the TV behind me? I know the speed of sound is a lot, lot slower than the speed of light, but that must have hit a time warp or got detained at the border. Nice views. Saludos, desde Colonia Centro Historico, Puebla, Mexico, DerRobMann sends.

LA Fresh Life used the word I was thinking: gorgeous. One of my fav flight videos. Excellent camerawork. I've never been to New York so it's hard for me to know certain sites but I definitely spotted the US Open tennis site. Probably saw Met's stadium. Saw the tower that replaced the Twin Towers. I just can't view New York without thinking of 9/11. It's just a wound that won't heal. and I'm not even from New York. Also, no screaming kids heard in the video. Yay

Landed at LaGuardia from Dallas a few years ago. That had to be the best view of the city hands down. I had pretty much the same view coming in for the landing. What I noticed was a bit more turbulence as we got closer to the ground. Apparently that was from all the massive development and density surrounding the airport. The buildings actually affect the air flow and wind to the point that it rattles the plane.

I'm a Republican but American first. Watching this reminds me of those lost pillars of souls. I don't care who you are, if you aren't sentimental about that day you obviously aren't old enough to remember it or you want the rest of us to forget it. Are we taught in school to never forget WW1 or WW2? Are we taught to look the other way during the holocaust?

It takes me longer to get home from LGA oh I Live 15 miles from it. Then it does to say fly from Florida to Laguardia that's how bad the traffic is LaGuardia is an absolute logistical nightmare. And the transit cops and every other thing there is just a big pain in the butt circle around for an hour 2 hours waiting for somebody it stinks
