2020 Toyota Prius Prime Updating The Ultimate Fuel Sipper Loganbay: LOL Toyota This is the same engine from 2004 - 16 years and nothing new? Well the design which is way beyond ugly and finally car play after 6 years. My 2013 Ford C Max Energi was the same vehicle but much better interior and exterior finishes and faster. Toyota with all it billions of dollars is a disappointing company. Nothing new after 20 years, Where are the electric cars? They should be leaders but I guess not since the 1991 Lexus LS. Boring but they sell big

Alex, your cabin noise measurements don't seem accurate. What decible testing instrument are you using? If its a phone decibel app, your results are flawed What is the road surface condition, material composition and what temperature conditions? The RLX scored 68db in Malibu at 50mph, ES 350H scored 69 db at 50mph back east, and ls 500h scored 68db at 50mph in california. I am thrown off by your measurements because my 2014 Scion TC NVH at 50mph yields 64db to 65db on newer pavement on flat ground. A 2018 Camry v6 XLE scored 61db to 63db at 50mph on same stretch. Meaning the 2019 Avalon XLE or Limited should score lower still in NVH.

The EV operation of my wifes 2019 Prime is addictive and has already got me thinking about a much longer range EV car for myself. Her relatively short range, 25-30 miles, is exhausted frequently and I have learned that draining the battery all the way down is not the best practice for longevity. Seems like charging to 90% and not going below 25% is the best recipe for happy battery life. Yes, I guess she could monitor that and just stop driving in EV mode when the battery gets down to about 25%, but she never does

I have a 2017 one. My only regret is that I wish it were in that blue/ teal color option. Reasons I got it over IoniqI like its styling more (exterior, interior Im indifferent) Its reliability Ioniq was to newI dont believe ioniq had full speed radar cruise control and I wanted that for traffic. And, Im against leather interiors. I remember them advertising their interior as eco friendly & I was like pshhh.

I love how Alex gently taps almost all the different elements of the car as hes describing them, lol. And how does he get so good, so fast, with all the different menus and features on the display screen? He breezed right through everything. Its like he has owned the car for 6 months already

Toyota keeps getting better and better at producing cars with polarizing designs. I wonder what the inspiration behind this design was? let us design something that will make people not want to look at the car.
