I can't understand for the life of me, why reviewers don't automatically include destination charges. We all end up paying them. It's not like it varies from state to state, excluding Alaska and Hawaii. If I drive to the factory where the vehicle is built (assuming it's somewhere in the U. S) and drive the vehicle home myself, can I take off the 1000+ charge? Alex, this isn't any ding on you. I love your reviews But to quote a price and then add the destination charge, as a seeming afterthought, always seems a bit disingenuous. it seems all the reviewers do this. Is this something the manufacturers ask you to do? As for the CX-30, great review as always Just curious on this point

Stay away from cylinder deactivation (or take it out for a drive where you're going 55 in 6th and the cylinder deactivation is active and make sure you don't mind the vibration. I have it in my 2019 Mazda3 hatch and the vibration really ruins the otherwise spectacularly smooth drive. Also, make sure the climate control works as it should: set the temp to 62 degrees or so and see if it blows super hot air instead of slightly warm air as it should. This is another thing that drives me nuts in my 2019 Mazda3 hatch. oddly enough it does start regulating temperature normally 10-15 minutes into the drive. Don't have this issue in my 2018 Mazda6 2. 5T.

Nice vehicle except i will never buy it. way too, too much cheap plastic cladding. What is it with that crap that car makers insist on putting it on? It just looks cheap and diminishes mazda s aspirations to be premium, imo. Also, why do cuv makers insist on dark rear side glass? If one lives in the grey cloudy north it significantly reduces interior light and makes it more difficult to see out on winter days. Make it an option not standard.

Mazda vehicles are so nice. Its 6 speed works very smoothly. Wish more people buy Mazda. I got Mazda 6 and GLC300 in 2016, and have got no issues with 6 but GLC had forced me seeing dealer so frequently. Decided to replace GLC with CX-5Turbo lately, CX-5 is such a pleasant car to drive, CX-30 seems even better. Love Mazda

Recently Mazda has very poor cargo practicality with a too long hood looking like a carnival beak. Sorry, but today when Toyota and Honda finally started to build attractive vehicles, and Nissan and Hyundai/Kia have very nice vehicles, practicality became the key feature among those vehicles to have a good sale.

Great video Alex. I'm curious what Mazda will do with their current 2. 5L/6Speed combo as it's in the majority of their lineup (3, 6, CX30, CX5) for many years now. Plus there were those rumblings of a new I6 coming. Either way if they wanna move more upmarket they do need a tad more power and a few more gears.

Seeing this vehicle really makes wish they still sold the mazda 5. It's a shame that it didn't sell, it's handling was crazy good for a van, and it's amazing cargo space, sliding doors, and emergency third row and overall small size made it such a unique vehicle.

I've already crossed the Mazda3 off my shopping list due to it's ridiculous pricing. The Cx-30 looks like ass with the cladding extending 1/3 up the side of the car. I guess you can't sell a hatchback in the US unless you jack it up, slap on cladding, and pretend it's a CUV.

That black cladding is an absolute abomination. Also tired of those low-slung roofs, especially if it's being touted for its practicality. The 3 hatch suffers similarly, and in combination with the long hood it makes for a poorly proportioned aesthetic.
