I used to lease a top of the line 3. 6R Legacy from 2015-2018. While not perfect, (the entertainment unit was a mess) it was an amazing car and I sometimes miss it. It was fantastic in rain and snow, the HK premium sound system was better than my Lexus. I honestly did not see any disadvantage of the CVT compared to my 6 speed auto in my Lexus, but of course I dont know about long term. The 3. 6R with 256HP was plenty enough so the turbo with 270-ish is going to be great. I would not recommend the base 2. 5i for a single person or someone who enjoys a good drive. That huge screen for me is actually a disappointment. I already have the phone and TV radiating their blue light into my retina and the last thing I want is the car to do the same. I hope there is a physical Display OFF button on the dash to help with this. Best AWD value if you are into sedans.

I really hope that giant screen is lag free(eye roll). the side mirrors need some body color to them. black plastic on bottom. body color on top like the rest of the cars they make. I guess saddle bag leather is IN here in USA. Im excited for the seat patterns that are BLACK n GREY. the only true colors. get that chrome strip off the door handle. dont like the white paint for this trim level. the front is a bit plain maybe boring again that white is rough. im a fan of symmetrical wheel patterns. overall C+. it might need some more attitude on the exterior. also some window tint. MY MOM WANTS ONE (eye roll)

Id like Subaru a lot more if they would get over the CVT. Theyre just not very good, especially with more powerful engines and/or larger vehicles. Ascent, Outback, and Legacy with the turbo engine should all have proper automatics. A CVT just cant handle that much power or deliver that much torque off road, not to mention that CVTs are just naturally less reliable than normal automatics since CVTs rely on the friction between the belt and pulleys rather than meshed gears. Subaru makes some excellent cars, but a bad transmission can really ruin the car.

Id like Subaru a lot more if they would get over the CVT. Theyre just not very good, especially with more powerful engines and/or larger vehicles. Nice. Love the interior and, yes, the exterior styling is much improved (although I wouldnt call my 17 Legacy ugly. Im really excited about the new Outback now, since its front end will largely be the same as the Legacys. One thing I noticed though, my has hydraulic struts for the trunk lid so that no trunk space is sacrificed; sadly, this 2020 Legacy has the same kind of struts everyone else uses. At least they have them covered so that you cant crush items, but youre still losing space.

Nice. Love the interior and, yes, the exterior styling is much improved (although I wouldnt call my 17 Legacy ugly. Im really excited about the new Outback now, since its front end will largely be the same as the Legacys. Wonder if the engine now requires Premium again on the turbo? I bet I would need the turbo for our short 25 yard ramps to get on the highway as the 4 cylinder lawnmower engine lacks the power to get to speed in most Subarus. That is only if I want their CVT. Our older 5 speed 6 cylinder Subaru with just over 80, 000 is running great so I have no plans to replace it anytime soon, so this is more of a curiosity question. Thanks.

Exterior looks decent, nothing special, but nothing wrong with it either. Interior looks fantastic, except automakers should learn to keep basic controls separate from the infotainment system. I dont want to touch and swipe on a screen to change the cabin temperature. Knobs are easier to turn And, I would buy one tomorrow, except for one problem. I will never buy a car with a CVT transmission.

Hmmn, Im disappointed. Extraordinarily generic styling. As an owner of a 5th Gen Legacy 3. 6R, with a bulletproof engine, very decent power, and sharp styling with the flared wheel arches, I was hoping Subaru wouldve made a bolder styled Legacy, with a more powerful H6. The Turbo 4 does sound intriguing, but wont have the smoothness of the 6. The interior, however, is beautiful.

I really like Subarus and have for a long time. However, I am NOT a fan of AWD where its not needed. It makes the car more expensive to buy new, adds complexity and expense over long-term ownership, and reduces MPG. Its the main reason I keep buying cars other than Subaru. Give me a FWD Impreza with a 2k-3k price cut, a few extra MPG, and Id likely buy one.

Your camera angles arent good enough. No one can really see the cabin for what it is. Sometimes you want to pan out from your presentation. You dont have to keep speaking to the camera and your video editor should be working with you to help us ascertain the size of the vehicle from different angles. Cutting back to your presentation once in a while

Beautiful car with many features. Im being a bit nit picky But I do not like that plastic black piece at the end of each rear side window Why are the designers of these cars incorporating this plastic piece in these models? Its ugly and takes away from looks of the cars. The plastic black piece at the end of each rear side window look cheap.
