How about the mini Cooper or the niro or the Kona? I have a niro and it gets all 239 miles. You can tell by the battery size and projected miles that somebody was very generous when they judge the teslas range. Under perfect conditions my SR plus model three will get 205 miles and unless I m going downhill but typically at 1: 70. Which I m fine with I am not complaining the Tesla is a superior car to drive no question.

EV range is different because charging stations are not as ubiquitous as gas stations. Everyone hates to be stranded for lack of fuel. Being stranded in a gasoline vehicle is easily fixed and unlikely if you're paying attention. Being stranded in an EV is much more serious - AAA's mobile charging trucks were in limited areas but didn't get used, so AAA has dropped back to towing to a charging station.

Not even remotely close to 300 miles much less the promised 315mi. Sure the typical your mileage may vary applies, but 225 mi is a long shot away from the state number. Either this test car is broken or someone is gaming the EPA test with an utterly unrealistic figure. Also shows that Tesla is really no different than a Chevy, Hyundai or Jaguar - there is no mythical battery advantage.

Given that recent research regarding the use of AC n cars during the pandemic shows that you are better off not sealing your car and opening the windows - how does the Model Y (and other cars) handle 4 (windows open)/60 (MPH) AC?

Strange how Tesla real world range is LESS than EPA, but Porsche Taycan real world range is MUCH father than EPA test result. There is something fishy going on with EPA testing and EVs. maybe a Teslagate?
