Ooof. I was just sort of getting used to Hyundai's new design language with the new Sonata Hybrid, but this one is just really hard for me to take in. And that large plastic bezel around the infotainment screen? That looks shockingly cheap for a brand that has been on the rise for a few years now. Like a poorly done after-market install. Surprised that you make no mention of Forte GT when speaking of direct competitors. Sounds like they run the same engine. I realize that I'm probably in the minority, and I'm certainly a little on the boring side, but I find the 4-door coupe styling trend unappealing. Give me a smartly designed 3 box sedan any day. From a looks point of view, for example Kia Optima looks better to my eye than the K5, and the Forte looks waaaaaayyyy better than Elantra or Civic.

That interior looks cheap AF. I have a strong feeling that because of COVID, we re going to see cost cutting measures on most new cars across the board moving forward.
Buy your new cars now, folks, and plan on holding on to them for a decade. The strides in refinement and build quality that most car brands achieved over the past decade will begin the vanish.

Hyundai likes to pull timing in between shifts though -- which hinders their performance and takes a lot of the fun out of their cars. Probably due to the 10 year power train warranty. It would be a cool alternative to the Civic Si though -- being that you can get it in a automatic.

Everyone knows that Hyundai steals designs. Stealing Jeep Cherokee headlights was questionable. Stealing the Prius is catastrophic. I wonder if this will have Tesla-like repair costs and therefore insurance premiums due to all the complex panel shapes.

I actually like the look, yes the touch screen looks a little weird but I think I would get used to it. Just wish that Hyundai would do the same exhaust as Kia does on the forte gt. Though it does save weight the way Hyundai does it.

Needs a mechanical LSD to compete with the GTI/GLI and the Civic SI. The mechanics have been the same for generations/refreshes. At 27k the price has gone up. while the interior keps. getting discontented for the Sport/N Line trims

This design looks like a step backwards. The last generation Elantra looks better inside and out. This is a fail. Way too many harsh lines and triangles on this thing. Those rims don t do anything for the vehicle either

The back end is nice but the front is ugly like the Sonata. Maybe the KIA version will look better, the KIA K5 is also much better looking than the Sonata. I really don t understand the front end look of these Hyundai s.

These cheap cars are so over-designed. Let em be what they are regular, entry car that get good mpg and last long. Stop dual-clutching and trying to make everything sport. My goodness. Rant, lol.

The back and side veiws are great. but I'm not so sure on the front facia just yet. the Red looks better may be if i see a silver or white with more contrast then i can say what the final verdict is.
