Nissan is bringing sexy back with a new Z sports car! Twin-turbos and a 6-speed manual are likely all some enthusiasts need to know, but in this video I dive into all the details we have so far. Vincent: I like it. Finally a new Z before we thought the Z was done for good. Nissan needs the Z to be their true sports car. Forget the GT-R. That car is also way too old. An exotic while good, is like the 370Z, too darn old! You can only refresh so much. This car is very important to the Nissan brand as it shows they can and will keep the sports car alive. Not easy to do in the world of Cross overs and SUVs and Trucks being what is on the menu. I grew up with the Z. My Dad had two Zs. I sold for Nissan for a while too. Sold a number of the 300Z. This car I hope is as great as the photos hint at. Driving will bare this out.

I like that they are still keeping with the z profile. The rear seems to be new mustang inspired which isn't a bad thing in my book especially with the led taillights. Def won't make production with the square grill but a little tweak in the design can fix that. Overall, I wast expecting a revolutionary design but I think I get them trying to have a safety net that will keep the Nissan fan boys happy and bring the brand to the 21st century as well. The 6speed manual and engine should do the trick for purist and hopefully the 9 speed for others. Overall, this was a refresh that should have happened years ago but still a positive direction for the brand. I hope they can carry the 9 speed into other mainstream Nissan brands as an option at least on the higher end of the vehicle spec sheets. That may boost things positively for them.

This thing will absolutely destroy the Supra with 3 main steps. Start under 40k, already confirmed manual option, and on a new platform. They cannot base this on the super-old 370Z chassis. The 400hp engine is already a few years old, so it isn't like they are putting something brand-new under the hood. The manual option from the start gives it a huge leg-up on the Supra. Since the current one starts at 29k, then add 10k to that and start at 39k. That undercuts the Supra by more than 10k already and Nissan already has the engine to outpower the Supra. They need to do this quickly.

I really don't think the squared-off front end compliments the overall design of the car. You have a dramatic side profile, sloping roof, and wide-stance rear, none of which is cohesive with thr front. The square grille just does not balance it. Maybe the production car will look less. cartoon-ish. Still, it is exciting that Nissan appears to be trying to get their groove back. The Sentra is a great little car. The new Leaf appears to want to give Tesla a run for their money at an affordable price. A new Frontier on the horizon(FINALLY) Now this.

Love the clean simply styled front end. Very refreshing since everything has gotten so busy. Hoping the tail lamps have amber turn signals.
The only thing I'd change cosmetically is the silver trim edging the roof.
This may be my next car!

I love the look. I'm A little worried about weight gain as the Q50/Q60 are much heavier than the 370Z. Also have my fingers crossed for port and direct injection. Love that it has a manual. Already want this more than the Supra because manual

This car is a masterpiece. It looks like an adult designed it. I would be embarrassed to go on a date in a Supra or Civic Type-R. The new C8 Corvette is too overdone. This is clean and modern yet retro all at once! BRAVO NISSAN

The exhaust with the drilled holes tells me that they re using the 400hp engine from the Q50/Q60; The 300hp variant has a plain exhaust tip. I should know because my wife used to own a Q50 Red Sport and that was a beast of a car.

The grill is polarizing. not good for me now. Not saying it might grow on me, or that it might look much better in person. The side and especially the rear. WOW love the ass. To the industry: THATS HOW YOU DO PIPES!

As with most people the grill just doesn t match. I get a flowing/circular/round design language. then a giant perfect rectangle in the front grill. doesn t flow to me. The side profile and back look very nice though
