According to RAM, more power is always the answer. Raptor too slow? Sad that your Dodge SRT10 isn't feeling peppy? Feel like drag racing a Mustang GT? There's a 6, 350 pound truck for that now. Oh, and FCA really wants you to know that it's designed to run Baja. Yep. Not that you will, but FCA wants you to know it can

It's awesome but focused on a type of off-roading I never do. desert running. I'm really hoping one of the manufacturers offers the Gladiator/ZR2 or Power Wagon of the full-size category. Something with front and rear lockers and a disconnecting sway bar. Currently no full-size truck has a front locker; the closest is a LSD in the Raptor but it doesn't fully lock. Putting my hope that GM closes this gap with the Silverado ZRX.
I much rather have front and rear lockers and a disconnecting sway bar and a diesel engine than these insane power numbers. I don't need a full-size being wider than an HD truck either. that's a huge down side for many, many off-roading types. Again. awesome truck. But I think the manufacturers are completely missing the mark when it comes to rock crawling, trail riding, and overlanding.

Alex, I love your videos and your automotive insights, but I think I m going to have to disagree with you (slightly) in this case. If I wanted a track-or-street-focused vehicle, I d be looking at a Hellcat Charger or Challenger, not a pickup.
When the SRT-10 came out a few years ago, I loved everything about it, except for the fact that it was largely impractical for most truck-associated purposes. I thought, Wow! That would really be something if it was off-road capable!
Apparently, someone read my mind, a few years late, and via the obvious detour of the Ford Raptor, of course, but nevertheless, I think they finally got it right!
Now, if only I could afford one!

I love Dodge. when everyone else is asking if they should. Dodge is saying. why not. I did buy their Durango R/T - my only regret was that i could not afford the SRT (maybe next time. Loving the fact that Dodge's solution to issues is more power - keep up the good work guys.

I wish I could be a fly on the wall in the pitch meeting to the Dodge Execs. Marketing: we want to put the Hellcat engine in the Ram. Engineering: we would need to reengineer the frame. Executive: you said how much horsepower? Accounting: let me get my checkbook.

Alex, If someone had told me 15 years ago that Fiat/Peugeot would sell a 100, 000 pickup truck in America someday, I would have said they were 'crazy' and recommended a very strong prescription of Stellantis.

That extra ground clearance will really make it easier to mount the curb and mow down some innocent bystanders Mustang style when the drivers of these things run out of talent when leaving cars and coffee.
