Alex, I always enjoy your auto/truck review videos, but it's so great to get a glimpse of your home life, out in a redwood forest in California, living off the land and building everything yourselves like a couple of modern pioneers. My husband is not really a car guy, but even though he grew up a surfer dude in Hermosa Beach, CA, he would absolutely love the life you guys are living in the woods, self-sufficient and separated from the crowds and hustle and bustle of the big city. Thanks so much for sharing this part of your life with us!

Fascinating! Thanks for giving us an inside view of your home, its beautiful views and all it has to offer! I am interested in the challenges of keeping the ev charged. Is there little excess generated power to also power the ev charger along with your daily needs? How much energy are you able to store for nights and during days with inclement weather? Considering you did 99% of all the construction there, it is extremely impressive. Oh, by the way, how is your Internet delivered? Thank you for the inside look!

Alex, thanks for the behind the scenes look at your property. It's amazing all the different things you have to do to live off the grid. I understand now why you have so many different pieces of equipment. Some of those trails are treacherous and narrow--you cut in the trail just wide enough. Electricity and water takes up a lot of your time at home. Thanks again for a personal look into your life in rural California. Very interesting stuff.

Alex, love your lifestyle. I'm from Chicago, lifestyle in Northwest Indiana and I realized long ago that I want a more rural lifestyle. Going camping in woods as kid and in field with Army made cherish the peacefulness. I have driven a semi thru the mountains of northern CA ( breathtaking and terrifying. Also some of the most serene small towns I have seen. Kudos to you.

As a off-grid enthusiast and a permaculture layman, I must say that I envy your property! Thank you for sharing it with us, it's really impressive what you were managed to do by yourself. Have you also excavated the roads and trails too? Also, 200 kWh battery bank! Why do you need so much storage over there? (Although the usable capacity is less than half of that, right)

Thanks for this look into your lifestyle and the behind the scenes view. What do you use to maintain your road? The entire road seems to be on the edge of a cliff so big tractors are probably not an option. I just heard at the end here that you have an excavator. a small one I assume. I watch your reviews most of all. Thanks for what you do.

Alex I was always impressd with how much information you can pack into a clip. If there were metrics, you would get the most useful information per minute award. After watching your very generous behind the scenes, it all makes sense. Thanks for your hard work! (That bobcat trail makes me nervous, I ll stick to NYC traffic)

Very cool. I also live in a coastal forest in rural America farther up the pacific coast. We have acreage and it's mostly just forested wetland. It's definitely different than my friends who live in the midwest. It's a fantastic lifestyle if you can do it. Thanks for sharing.
