I wish new cars had a comparables report the way that real estate does, so that we can compare the actual selling prices of vehicles instead of MSRPs, which we know are completely unrelated to reality. American trucks have often had ludicrous MSRPs, but carried insane discounts which brought down their actual sales prices 15-20% or even more in some instances. At the same tome we know that Nissan and Toyota have always been more conservative with MSRPs, but also with discount programs. In today s market it s even more useful, as most dealers are asking a premium on top of MSRPs.
Talking about MSRPs just seems to come across like an exercise in physical self-love, if you know what I mean. We re talking very precise figures when in reality, these vehicles sell for very different amounts.

This was a mistake. And by this I mean the entire package, bumper to bumper. Starting with the ugliness of the front end (although that is a matter of personal taste) and ending with the engine that does not belong in a full size truck. A hybrid V8 would have been a much better choice and Toyota most definitely knows how to do hybrids better than anyone else. Twin turbo V6 will experience problems as the miles stack up because the engine has to work hard in order to pull heavy loads. Maintenance will have to be upped with more frequent oil changes as well. Considering the cost bump, needlessly added complexity and basically non-existent gas milage savings under heavy loads, this is a flop IMHO and Toyota will be forced to make some pretty significant changes as this platform starts to age.

I was waiting to buy this new Tundra. I was expecting the truck to compete with the Ford F-150 Powerboost.

The regular review is coming out a little bit later. The idea is to have a buyer's guide style pricing and comparison focus as a stand alone product and release a new one when pricing changes (or yearly) while the review would be more on what the vehicle looks/drives like rather than comparison.

Nice video, but how can you consider the F-150 s interior dated when it was all new for 2022? Many review knock higher trims for not feeling as premium as the price would suggest, but how do you feel it s outdated? Cheers

+ 6, 000 for the SR5 and all you get is Fog Lamps, Allow Wheels, & Power Seats? That doesn't add up at all.
I bet they will barely stock the regular SR so they can sell SR5's and profit.

I still like a V8 for towing ram or titan, or f150 with inverter or the ev would be nice so I camp off grid and run my a/c
