Even if you can tilt the second row seats with the child seats still in, I doubt you'll want to do so, especially if there's a child in that seat. Either way you'll want to remove the child seat before tilting the second row seat, or just opt for the captain's chairs so people going to the third row can just use the empty space between the seats.

Most of the times we drive our SUV is with the whole family, so comfort, practicality, ease of access is what's important. If I want sport, I'll drive my smaller, lower, and more nimble sedan.
