Mercedes SLS v Aston Martin Vantage v Porsche 911 v Lamborghini Gallardo - autocar. co. uk
video description
Ultimately the SLR costs more. Much more. To me not worth it. It's also more expensive than that Lambo you said it's better than; once again we have an unfair comparison on our hands.

for a car that is so impractical, and that has no other purpose other than showing wealth, and speed i'd say it is, the gallardo loses in comparison to pretty much all of it's rivals, so no they are not slow compared to a chevy malibu but it does seem to be the slowest of it's market gap. that's what i meant. in a way is as if the aston v12 is faster only because it actually has similar speeds to the other luxury grand tourers that it's meant to be up against. no i have not driven a lambo.

I'd back the viper in a cornering contest against this. The later models of that car (ACR, Leguna Seca etc) were absolute weapons when it came to handling. Where the SLS beats the Viper is actually on the road. Living with the Viper is insufferable whereas the SLS behaves just like a big AMG when you're not hard at it.
If it were my money, I'd get the SLS but not because of its ability on track.
P. S. Please turn off Caps Lock

Hmmm. .. $150k for that Porsche vs, $350k for an SLR McLaren. It had better leave it in the dust! I could buy two of those Porsches (one silver and one black) and insure them both for a few years for the sticker of that SLR. Why wouldn't I just do that especially when the Porsche is more user-friendly?
Oh and why did Merc stop the SLR? Because it cost too much for what you got. That simple.

SLS is a supercar, V12 Vantage isn't. SLS and One-77 are closer rivals, excluding price. -better car- is quite subjective. Aston Martins are about handcrafted, exclusive, premium quality although they don't slouch on performance either. The closest car Benz has to rival Aston Martin is the CL class which is about to be killed off (and S class for sedans I guess.

The One-77 isn't exactly a fair competitor for the SLS, but both are supercars at least. The V12 Vantage isn't designed to deliver very fast 0-60 speeds, top speed, or be raced against the clock on the track. It's a grand tourer, not a supercar. No reviewer or professional refers to the V12 Vantage as a supercar, only a grand tourer and/or sport car.

How can you compare the SLS with the light weight superleggera? at least you should compare it with the normal LP-560. And how could you not like the SLS interior? It is much better looking that the other three, very classic and beautiful. Anyway the SLS is a great car and I do really love to own one

SLR barely won in the straight line and in lambo was Richar Hammond. but what would happen on the track with real drivers? Second video doesnt count, because they are amateur drivers, and Mercedes is pretty much tuned up (its a SLK with SLR engine.

Look at it! It has unique design, it's wide as a truck, it has enormously big hood, it has gull wings, it's a successor to 300 SL - the very first supercar, it's a F1 safety car and it sounds like a God!

Nobody could argue that the SLS has the best sound overall. You got to love the 6. 2L AMG Engines. And it's far more special than a 911 even the Turbo. You see so many, at least in Germany, nothing special anymore.
