The Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport S is officially the fastest front-wheel drive production car around the daunting N-rburgring Nordschleife race track. We take the 306bhp Clubsport S to the N-rburgring for a full test

I did this last time I was in Deutschland. I rented one of the track spec GTIs from the company there. I hated it. FWD is pure garbage on track. I was far more comfortable ripping around the Nurburgring in my E92 M3 and F10 550i when I picked them up and spanked them around the 'Ring.
For the price, there are far better options for track cars.

The Civic's time was from a development car and cannot be counted, it even had a roll cage!
No way would they get someone to drive a stock CTR without the extra protection of a roll cage on a track as dangerous as Nurburgring as quick as that one was driven.
I bet they have not since repeated the lap in a customer car have they?

The hold point of a fast hatchback is its a practical every day driver like the RS and Type R This is only 1. 5 sec faster than the CTR but you lose the back seats all sounds deadening a race battery so can't be left longer than a few weeks or it won't start and costs 35K ish if your only after two seats get a coupe or roadster

Looking for some pictures on the Internet we see that there is a rollcage inside the ClubSpot S.
- 2: 38 and 4: 31 we can clearly see a rollcage in the car but no rollcage in each and every inside shots of your video, why is that?
I asked VW to get one these ClubSport S. Hope that I will be lucky and get one! :D

Im wondering if this would be faster than my mk7 gti pp, with dsg stage 2 apr 314whp 391whp alone with Michelin pilot super sport and vwr suspension?

no rear seats? when you start stripping cars out then there no longer hot hatches, hot hatches are supposed to be usable, that's the whole point

Nice driving there. Many have complimented the new diff in the GTI and it shows, seems pretty eager to turn in and demolish the corners.

I wish this guy would learn to describe the sensations his feeling when driving the car a littler better. Kills me each time.

We heard a rumour this car is not going to be right hand drive? Not relevant on the track but on the road.
