I kind of see a 70s 80s theme coming back. When every Dad in England had a British made car, usually a Leyland product. Austins, some different Ford variants etc. But you always looked at someone else and see they have painted bumpers, leather seats etc and that was what made people look at your car the spec. Soon, I wonder if you-ll see a lot of electric cars and look at a -GT- trim of this car and stand out. But it could go the other way and make people who (lets face it, the GT is expensive as cars go nowadays) have that much money want something to stand out more, something that isn-t sold in a trim that will make it more common and popular due to pricing.

I don't know how Ford is going to sell a 250+ Mile range Electric when they won't even stand behind a 20 Mile range 2013 Ford CMAX Energi. My hybrid battery failed after 87K miles and 11 days out of warranty. My dealer wants $15, 000 to replace it. Take a lesson from me. Ford will not stand behind their engineering and quality! That is why Tesla will eat their lunch in the Electric vehicles. My service guy says Ford is expecting the New Electric Mustang to drop 30% in value the first year-- because it's a Ford. I spent $38, 000 on my Ford CMAX and Ford would only give me $2, 000 as a trade in! That is $0. 41/mile depreciation! Something is wrong with Ford!

I-m finding it a bit difficult to understand why you-ve spent 4 mins explaining how the name of the car is a big deal when it actually doesn-t matter. Especially when this resembles a Ford Mustang 0/10. Secondly why is every single electric car ugly, except the Taycan. Anyway, I ain-t going anywhere near an EV until someone makes something good looking, affordable, fun, desirable & practice. i. e. if porsche made a wee little hatchback EV -.

I agree it's not what people has in mind when you say -mustang-, but it wan become to Ford what Cupra was to Seat. Started as a sport model it is now a sport brand on its own. Ford also needs to make money and change -mustang- into a car's premium brand I think is a smart move. I have ordered mine, and maybe some day we can have a real EV mustang, if you know what I mean.

It appears to be having an identity crisis. Jacked up faux off-roader with bulky and ungainly looking body, no ground clearance, weird proportions and some Mustang-esque lights. They then topped off with a massive touch screen that's a nightmare to use while driving and shows a total lack of imagination with the interior design.

I am amazed that hardly anybody realize why Ford called it a Mustang, but hey, no Ford oval at all on the car! Why? Well, the reason is that Ford is deliberately creating a completely new marque for the new age of electric cars. Forget the old Mustang, welcome the new Mustang!
