I was cruising at 35 mph in 6TH gear and it wasnt a problem, no juddering! I approched an island in 2nd gear and almost came to a stop, i hit the gas and she pulled away with instant power. Super smooth and easy to drive. I sign the papers tomorow ive added a sat, city pac

it all boils down to compromise. On the contrary to popular belief, turbo motors work on lower RPM's than naturally aspirated motors AND they have a more consistent torque curve. That in effect means that you achieve better acceleration and power on lower RPM's for which a naturally aspirated engine would have to rev up much higher. Plus the combustion process is much more efficient so you get more energy out of the same amount of fuel.

I researched cars for about six months with no preconceptions about which car would be my choice (I really knew nothing about cars when I started researching. Test drove an Elantra, Civic, Cruze and Focus. it wasn't even close. Focus felt the best on the road and the interior was the best quality. Plus on my test drives it was the only car to match the MPG on the sticker. It's been an awesome car so far, really glad I bought it.

On the other hand, higher pressures that the engine works on make them less durable than non-turbo engines, so if you're planning to cover more than, say, 250 000 km's (150 000 miles) with it, maybe consider buying a turbo diesel (which would save you loads of money due to better efficiency in comparison to petrol and last much longer than petrol engines) or a standard petrol engine.

Friend of mine has a Focus just a few years old and its on its 3rd water pump already, stability control keep slowing in a corner at one speed, bad connection near left front wheel however it occassionly returned but for some reason new front tyres fixed it, may be sensitive to variations in tyre size when cornering brings on the ESC.

same horsepower but with sacrifices? to get that same horsepower, your rpms are higher which means a noisier cabin. Also, a motor that works harder will not last as long. as for me, not buying. I will opt for the Mustang or a Dodge Challenger. There is not substitute for brute strength lol.

Problems with it, harsh shifts with the automatics and Ford's fix is not fixing it. Ford's fix is a computer update. A recall for the airbags too, no parts yet to fix this recall.

We sure do get jipped on options here in North America. You guys get LED accented Tailights and Projector headlamps! We can't even get that on Titaniums here!

There's a guy that tested the speed on the auto ban and he got 146 mph! I'm wandering if the 0-60 is quicker than the stated 7. 6.
