As a devout BMW owner, I'm yet to embrace the more value VAG proposition. Even so, the Kodiaq, has piqued my interest. It seems like a good value and attractive package. The styling is intriguing. I can't decide whether it's attractive, or a little ugly. certainly the front grill is odd. Its probably attractively ugly because it has a certain rugged look that expensive SUVs have lost. I could see how Skoda could own the 'adventure' space now that Land Rover has disappeared up its own arse along with Jaguar. I imagine carting my family off to the Lakes, making use of the space and the 4x4 ability - sounds great in theory, but always proves different to the reality for me and so I can't help thinking that I'd get very bored, very quickly with the standard of refinement coming from a BMW. For me, the interior of Skodas and Seats just aren't there yet due to choice of plastics and switchgear. The big let down with them too, is the standard of leather upholstery. It wears very badly and looks poorly crafted, like on the rear of the seats with odd exposed stitching patterns. The stitching is quite crude and it sags on the seams. Maybe I'm too blinded by the BMW premium package. Either way, I think the next leap for Skoda is to tackle interiors like Peugeot have done in the new 3008. They should defo make a marketing play for rugged adventure too. Just like how they used to market Defenders. Then I'd probably be sold!

at 5: 30 you said the Kodiaq was cost 21495 pounds which was 800 pounds less than BMW Tiguan. Did you mean VW Tiguan or BMW X3? Can you clarify please? Thanks. Always enjoy watching your videos.

I like Land Rover but the price is out of my reach. Thanks Skoda makes it more affordable and my dream to own one is likely to be true.
