Stick a battery in it instead of an engine, and the price shoots up to 8 grand extra.
You'd think it'd be cheaper as you're not paying for an engine with loads of moving parts, and the requirement to be serviced every year.
But no, electric is the new -in- thing, so they have to rip us off.
Also, the warranty on these cars have been reduced to 3 years again when you used to get 4. why? Are they not confident in their product? Yet the price keeps going up. -
I'll wait to see how much their hybrid model is, and their specs before any expenditure.
You can get a Toyota corolla 1. 8 hybrid with a 5 year warranty for 25, and I bet when the clio hybrid version comes out, the price will be near that

Fiesta is a very small car. It's fabulous to drive, but it looks and feels like a small car. I don't have kids, but still it would be too small for us. Clio on the other hand feels like a way bigger car and handles smoothly. Boot is just awesome.
If I lived alone. I'd still choose Clio, but I really understand why some people choose Fiesta instead. It's really such a delightful tiny -race car- -

I don't get the Fiesta thing. Testdrove a couple with different engines and a couple of years apart and it's fine. But I don't get that -crisp- thing you talk about. And I find the Ford to be inferior in quality to the japanese or even the french. Especially Citroen has really stepped up their game imo. That said I own a Corsa which I also find fine to drive but nothing special to be honest.

Ford fiesta what? Clio is the best selling car in Europe in it's class. The polo its next followed by the Corsa and fiesta it's on 4th place ( in the class of course ). The ford it's not even in the conversation for the top spot. I'm not hating on Ford, this are just facts.

-has the Ford Fiesta finally met its match? - The only region in the world the Fiesta seems to 'rulez' is the UK. Among chauvinistic auto bloggers. The Clio has lightyears more (sub-)stance, oozes understated quality and has a capitivating athletic shape.

Such a shame the 1. 3 tce is only available with an automatic. Not a fan of dual clutch gearboxes. They are often jerky at low speeds, and are much less reliable than a manual, or even an old school automatic with torque converter.

What! The Clio has always been superior to the Fiesta. No doubt about that! Now the Clio is just playing in another league, leaving the fiesta very, very far behind. And I-m not even talking about the new stellar Peugeot 208.

Fiesta has already meet their match quite some time ago. With other cars and older clio. Typical English -Ford obsessed- review. Anyway but cars are crap when compared to bigger cars: )

The Zoe is basically a bloated Clio. The panels are different but much of the interior, fit & finish and general experience is identical. I bet this holds true for the new Clio & Zoe.

I drove the fiesta yesterday and it was ok but nothing like this amazing car all reviewers seem to compare every small car with. I think the Clio is a far better choice of car
