Vicki Butler-Henderson\'s guide to buying a used Mk8 Ford Fiesta Pigeon: So, the boggo on 16inch wheels is decent fun and really compliant, and bouncy on 15s. The ST-Line on 17s is excellent fun and not as uncomfortable as you'd expect. Glad I upgraded. The diesel is so unrefined in urban areas (but rapid) so avoid. The 100hp is adequate, fun, willing and economical (I average 52mpg on Zetec and 49 in ST-LINE, but I wish I'd gone for the 140hp as the ST-Line chassis is better than 100hp. Build quality is errrrr well let's just say the budget went on the dynamics. If you see a roundabout as an opportunity for entertainment, the ST-LINE is superb.

Can't resist commenting and boring people to death with my car history! 1999 Zetec 1. 25 with red seats. Best car I've ever owned. Absolute blast to drive, economical and bulletproof reliability. MK5 finnesse was basic and a bit boring but never had any issues! Lately MK7 Titanium for a week with the 1. 6 Peugeot diesel. Was so impressed. Very refined and fun to drive. Love a good Fiesta. -

Ford ruined the later fiesta. The 1. 0 ecoboost engines are troublesome and mechanics hate working on them. These problems are well documented in the motoring press. Love older fiestas but not with the ecoboost engines.

Note: the automatic (DCT 7 Speed) has the 124 BHP petrol (turbo) engine from June 2020; there was a fairly slow 99 BHP with 6 speed torque converter gearbox before that. My 2020 model has a 2 year service interval.

Sounds like a paid ad for Ford. They don-t have a great reputation where I come from and many Japanese companies are more popular and I think better.

It is absolutely obvious that Vicki Butler-Henderson should be the lead presenter on Top Gear. Get the car people back in there, not the game show hosts.

The Fiesta is my favourite supermini --. The best to drive, the best looking and overall all round: . Plus, I do see a lot of Fiesta's on the road: )
